Superb and among the most accessible in the country, Tsaghkadzor ski resort is just within 40 minutes drive from the Armenia’s capital Yerevan and the Zvartnots International Airport.
Easy and scenic, the resort is a family-friendly adventure and a great place to introduce anyone to the wonder of skiing and outdoor exploration. With vast, snowy landscapes and horizons rimmed with mountains, the Mount Teghenis is the biggest draw, with its terrain for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Originally built to train the Soviet athletes for the 1988 Winter Olympics, Tsaghkadzor ski resort offers the diverse ski runs on the mountain slope, ideal for beginners, for amateur and advanced skiers. All lifts are manufactured and operated by the Leitner Group (Italy), and all the chair lifts equipped with magic carpet boarding systems.

In the Armenian Republic, situated at the slope of Biblical Ararat mount, there is Tsakhkadzor. The town is famous as a center of tourism , skiing, where there is an especially significant chairlift with five stations and more than a dozen ski runs. The Tsakhkadzor Ropeway is located on a slope of Teghenis Mount. From the height of 2819m, where the speed chairlift will take you in 32 minutes, all Armenia is visible at a glance – in clear weather, it offers a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat . In 2004, under the direction of the second RA President Robert Kocharian, the ropeway has been completely replaced by a new, modern one by the Italian company «LEITNER». The first station is with 4-seat chairlifts , the second , third, fourth – 2-seat chairlifts . It is possible to change from one station to another without removing the equipment : the services of skiers and snowboarders comfortable drag lifts And recently for “mountain beachgoers” (so mountain skiers call those tourists who didn’t get up yet on skis) started separate, fifth turn. Now both the ropeway, and the skiing runs armed with the best equipment and the equipment, guarantee to tourists and fans of mountain skiing active and safe recreation. There are also cafes, bars, rescue services, the services of first aid, training services for novice skiers etc. All this becomes perfect in combination with the delightful nature and the clean air of sunlit Tsakhkadzor.

The Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort is located just above the Armenian town of Tsaghkadzor approximately 60 km from Armenia’s capital Yerevan and the Zvartnots Airport.
The town of Tsaghkadzor is located at 1750m above sea level on the southeast slope of mount Teghenis.
There were initially three consecutive lifts stretching from the foot of the mountain (1969m above sea level) up till the mountain peak (2819m), with the first and second lifts ending at 2234m and 2465m above sea level respectively.
Apart from the lifts the resort offers ski and snowboard rental as well as skiing instructors.
The skiing season in Tsaghkadzor normally starts mid December and stretches well into March with the top slopes often fit for skiing in April.

Winter in Armenia, our first vacation for 2018. We went to snowy mountains in Armenia. Aragats mountain, the snow was very thick and we couldn't go up further. Near Aragats mountain is the Alphabet alley where you can finds armenian letters. We also went to a skiing resort called Tsaghkadzor.

Geghard Monastery, is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also find the wishing tree at the back side of this monastery where you can make a wish and hopefully your wish will come true.

i had a chance to travel to the beautiful city of Yereven in Armenia (Oct 15-20, 2017). in this video , i visited the old church, monastery , apple picking with my sister and experience for the first time the snows ... being raise in the tropical country never we have experience snow. enjoy the video.
