We stayed on a TINY ISLAND in FIJI! (Yasawa Islands Vlog)

BULA and welcome to our tiny island paradise in Fiji! We are spending a few days enjoying the Yasawa Islands just north of Fiji’s main island. After taking two days to get here, we have settled into island time and start our day slowly with a gorgeous Fiji sunrise on the beach.

After breakfast at Paradise Cove Resort we head out on a bushwalk to the other side of our little Fiji island. This hike was the perfect way to get to know the island and see a different angle on tropical paradise.

We also made great use of the amenities at Paradise Cove Resort with snorkeling, shopping at the local craft market and enjoying the evening Fijian meke (traditional dance and song performed by residents of the nearby SoSo Village).

We have even more to show you in our next video, but for now, enjoy the lush beauty of the beach-front villa life in the Yasawa Islands of Fiji.

We hope you enjoyed our Fiji vlog and, as always, we’ll see you in our next video as we Keep Going Places! Bula Vinaka!

Hotel Review: Yasawa Island Resort & Spa, Fiji

Ever landed on a grass airstrip in the middle of nowhere? See what it's like in our review of Yasawa Island Resort & Spa in Fiji. This remote luxury hotel was a once in a lifetime experience and we're excited to share what it was like.

From the crazy, and amazing, entrance via grass airstrip, to the utter seclusion of the island, Yasawa is one of the most interesting and unique places we have ever stayed. We loved the small, boutique, family-feel of the property and were so lucky to experience the communal dinner on the first night of our stay. All the guests got to know each other, kicking off a wonderful week at Yasawa.

Get excited- some of the private experiences they offer are truly once-in-a-lifetime. Take a look in our video at the private beach picnic we had on a sandbar!

Our favorite feature of the property was the ability to book private experiences, completely included in the price! We also loved that it was full-board, so the pressure was off when it came to food costs.

While the service may be slower on island time, the unique experiences Yasawa provides and the incredible size and comfort of the rooms were a complete win in our book. If you're looking for a truly unique experience in Remote Fiji, look no further than Yasawa Island Resort & Spa.

Here's what you'll learn:

01:25 - Lobby & Check In
02:08 - Rooms
03:51 - Facilities
05:47 - Dining

Overall, we loved our experience at Yasawa Island Resort & Spa. Be sure to ask for the private experiences and make this experience your own!

???? Yasawa Islands

The Yasawa Flyer, Our First Day at Paradise Cove Resort Fiji 4K

September 17, 2023
Vlog 66

We were biting our nails for the last day- a tropical storm had ruined yesterday. Michelle and I had plans to go on a snorkeling tour of the Mamanuca Islands that was canceled due to high winds. We were extremely relieved to find our ferry to the Yasawas was still running on time for today. We booked a trip on the Yasawa Flyer to take us to Paradise Cove Resort on Naukacuvu Island located about midway through the Yasawa Island chain.
The Yasawa Flyer is a large catamaran similar to the panther that took us to Malamala Beach Club two days prior. For how rough the seas were, the Flyer was very smooth and relaxing. There is a snack bar on board that serves Beer, soda and baked goods along with some candies. If you need some fresh air, you can hang out on the front of the boat and soak in the views of the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands you pass along the way. We found the ferry was very cost affective as opposed to chartering a helicopter.
After about a two hour ride on The Yasawa Flyer we were ferried from the catamaran by Paradise Cove Resort's dive boat to the main area of the resort were we had a short orientation. As soon as we obtained the keys to our bungalow, I snuck off to fly my drone. I was glad the weather calmed down quite a bit and I had an awesome drone flight. Once I returned to the bungalow, Michelle and I donned our swimsuits and went for our first snorkel at Paradise Cove. After a beautiful snorkel, we got dressed up and went on a resort activity called Sunset Drink.
Sunset Drink is located at Paradise Cove's mountain lookout at sunset. We thought we were going to have to hike through the jungle to get there. Turns out the manager of the resort offered to drive us in the back of his pick-up truck, oh boy was that fun! I brought my drone and had an awesome sunset flight before having an ice cold Fiji Bitter. The lookout deck offered a romantic view of the sunset and an awesome place to take pictures. I think we got a little too relaxed because before long we realized we had dinner arrangements we were almost late for. Luckily for us the Hotel Manager gave us a ride back to the resort just in time.
The fancy Fijian Japanese Fusion Restaurant Experience named Donu - Tapas and Omakase was very much so worth the rush back down the mountain. Donu's Omakase consisted of nine small plates of fresh fusion food. Every plate was phenomenally delicious and five stars for sure. The coolest thing is the restaurant was included in our meal plan at the resort. I found myself taking pictures of every plate before I could even think of eating them (except for the first one, I was hungry lol)
After a jammed packed day of traveling, snorkeling, drone flying and fancy experiences, Michelle and I were wiped and headed back to our bungalow for the night.
