Two and a half years ago we started the Kara-Tunga journey aimed at meaningful job creation, positively impacting the image of the Karamoja region and preserving the rich cultural heritage through sustainable tourism promotion and development.
We started from a place where there were just a few tour operators reaching the Karamoja region and travel advisory of leading countries was advising against all travel.
From scratch we engaged in sensitization of communities, developing and packaging tourism products,recruiting and training of field guides and hospitality staff, establishing a homely bascamp for travelers, developing valueable partnerships and organising events.
Today we're proud of having established the first for Uganda, social enterprise developing and promotion tourism in the Karamoja region with the following tools:

- Public relations,
- Capacity Building Initiative,
- Base camp for Travelers, Kara-Tunga, Karamoja Safari Camp
