Been fortunate enough to spend some quality time exploring the Turks and Caicos Islands over the years. Sometimes, people ask me to name my favorite, but it's really impossible to answer. Each island is beautiful and unique in it's own way. Each has so much to offer! I love Providenciales for it's beautiful beaches and amazing resorts and restaurants. North and Middle Caicos are like taking a step back in time, and you're almost guaranteed to find a beach all to yourself. And then there's South. Well, that's just otherworldly beauty and even comes with one of the very best resorts in the Caribbean, Sailrock South Caicos ... Can't wait to get back to all these islands to continue exploring ... and no doubt planning to add Ambergis, Pine, Parrot Cays ... and Grand Turk to future visits! In this Turks and Caicos travel tour, we explore the Turks and Caicos Islands, a British Overseas Territory located in the Atlantic Ocean, southeast of the Bahamas and north of Hispaniola. This archipelago consists of two island groups, the Turks Islands and the Caicos Islands, comprising a total of eight main islands and numerous smaller ones. The territory's population is around 40,000, with the majority residing on Providenciales, which is also the main tourist hub. The islands have a rich history, with early Lucayan settlements dating back to 700 AD. The economy is driven by tourism, offshore finance, and fishing, with pristine beaches, coral reefs, and clear waters attracting visitors year-round. The official language is English, and the currency is the US dollar, making travel convenient for many international visitors.

The Caribbean is a region of the Americas that comprises the Caribbean Sea, its surrounding coasts, and its islands. The region lies southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and of the North American mainland, east of Central America, and north of South America. The Caribbean Sea is divided into five submarine basins, each roughly elliptical in shape, which are separated from one another by submerged ridges and rises. Turks and Caicos, a British Territory, is an archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The gateway island of Providenciales, known as Provo, is home to Grace Bay Beach, and endless luxury resorts and villas. Scuba-diving sites include a 14-mile barrier reef on Provo’s north shore and a dramatic 2,134m underwater wall off Grand Turk island. The shipwrecks name is La Famille Express, a grounded shipwreck and popular landmark.
