We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

PORTO, PORTUGAL | 10 Incredible Things To Do In & Around Porto

Porto is located in northwest Portugal along the Douro River and a must-visit travel destination. From its stunning old town to its authentic cuisine and romantic viewpoints, Porto has so much to offer. These are the best things to do in and around Porto:

10. Visit at least one of the many churches
The most beautiful ones include: Igreja dos Clérigos, São Francisco Church, Igreja do Carmo, and the Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto)

9. Admire the architecture at the Livraria Lello
The building dates back to 1906 and is often nicknamed the “most beautiful bookshop in the world” due to its blend of different architectural designs.

☑️ Book your skip the line ticket in advance:

8. Try the local food
Worth trying: tripas, bacalhau à brás, sardinhas, and francesinha

7. Walk the riverfront (Cais da Ribeira)
This is one of the liveliest parts of Porto, and a great place to walk, dine, and sightsee.

6. Go on a cruise of the 6 bridges
From the water, you can admire the beautiful landscapes and red-roofed buildings of Porto as well as Vila Nova de Gaia. All while learning about the historic bridges that connect both cities. Boat tours leave from the riverfront in Porto (Ribeira Quay) and last about 50 minutes.

☑️ Book your 6 bridges cruise:

5. Take in a view of the city
Best viewpoints: Miradouro da Vitória, the street next to the Porto cathedral, Passeio das Virtudes, Miradouro da Ribeira (for sunset), and from the waterfront of Vila Nova de Gaia.

4. Day trip to Peneda-Gerês National Park
Located near the Spanish border, the Peneda-Gerês national park is a 2 hour drive from Porto. It’s the oldest protected area and the only national park in Portugal, covering about 695 square kilometers.

☑️ Book a 4x4 day tour:

3. Day trip to the Douro wine valley
The Douro wine valley is where the famous port wine is produced and it’s known as the first demarcated wine region in the world. But besides its wines, this valley is also worth visiting for its incredible landscapes, nature, and history. We spent two days in Peso da Régua and enjoyed wine tasting, hiking, and learning all about the region.

☑️ Day cruise to the Douro wine valley:

2. Visit the wine cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia
While less idyllic, Vila Nova de Gaia is also known for its port wine. In fact, all the port wine produced in the upper Douro Valley would historically be transported here in barrels on traditional boats (rabelo boats). This is why the riverbanks of Porto today are filled with wine cellars and tasting rooms. Most wine cellars offer wine tastings and guided tours.

1. Free walking tour of the city
During a 2.5 hours guided tour, you’ll see the main highlights of the city, like São Bento train station, Café Majestic, Aliados avenue, and much more. But you’ll also get some recommendations to eat, go out, and have fun. This tour leaves a few times per day from the Liberty Square.

☑️ Free walking tour (the one we did!):

MAN IS LIVING IN 2027 & HUMAN RACE IS GONE! (VIDEO PROOF) Unicosobreviviente

(REAL UNEXPLAINABLE FOOTAGE) Man from Valencia Spain travels to the future and is trapped in 2027 with no signs of life. Is this the end of the world? Could this be an alternate world or dimension? Javier aka Unicosobrevivienta uploaded a video to TikTok claiming that he woke up in 2027 in a hospital and when he went outside everyone was gone. The entire human race disappeared and even every animal in the world is GONE. I know this sounds crazy but he has numerous videos showing him alone in a city with 2.5 million people. Where did all those people go? Supposedly there is a connection between 2027 and 2021 making it seem as he is trapped in a future or parallel alternate reality but still able to communicate back to 2021.

Travel Tips: 7 Places in Mexico you did not know even existed and other travel tips

Travel Tips: 7 Places in Mexico you did not know even existed and other travel tips.

Agua azul waterfalls.- This wonder is located in the beautiful state of Chiapas right in the middle of the Lacandon Jungle. If you ever go to the Mayan archeological site “Palenque” you can’t miss this natural beauty. Its turquoise color is caused by carbonated salts and minerals. Just to throw an interested fact, Chiapas has 9 different ecosystems, it is not purely jungle. It is amazing when you are driving up a mountain you can see the warm jungle transforming into cold woods.

Marieta Islands.- Located just a few minutes boat ride away, called by locals “Hidden Beach”. Catch your ride from Punta Mita, a town a few minutes away from Puerto Vallarta. Only look for authorized tours, they are the only one allowed to get there. Actually the boats do not take all the way. Getting there is a little adventure. Once you get out the boat, you have to swim through a tunnel, the price is the amazing “hidden beach” that is breathtaking.

Sumidero Canyon.- This is another wonder from the state of Chiapas. It is just minutes away from Tuxtla Gutierrez, the main city and capital for the region, and main airport. So as soon as you drop off the plane you can go directly to this magnificent site.

Montebello Lakes.- Within the Montebello Lakes National Park, also located in Chiapas you can find a natural complex composed of beautiful turquoise coloured lakes that is not considered a natural paradise for the color alone, but the entire surroundings. The beautiful lakes are just the cherry on the pie.

Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary.- This site is located in the state of Michoacan. It is a protected ecosystem in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. Every year millions of Monarch butterflies make a stop in their annual migration this place, offering a natural spectacle like no other when millions of these creatures cover trees and the rest of the landscape and dye the view in its beautiful orange.

The Cave of Swallows.- It is 376m (1233 ft) deep. This is considered by many the most beautiful vertical cave in the world. As time goes by and more people know of this place, skydivers are some of the tourism attracted to this place. It is the home of a bird species known as swifts often confused with swallows. This is where this place gets its name. To descend down this cave means getting surrounded in a world with different rules, especially if you get to see the magnificent sunrise when thousands of swifts fly out the cave in a spiral manner, spectacular view.

Las Pozas Garden of Xilitla. - This man made wonder is found in the state of San Luis Potosi in the middle of waterfalls and natural pool. Many say this surreal garden evokes the Garden of Eden. Although this place may look like the ruins of some ancient civilization, it is actually the art work of the eccentric British millionaire, Edward James. He actually arrives to Mexico with the idea of building a Garden of Eden and handpicked himself this spot near the town of Xilitla, San Luis Potosi.

Travel Tips: 8 Reasons NOT to Visit Mexico and other travel tips

Often, Mexico is thought of beautiful sandy beaches. Well, there’s news folks. Mexico is way more than this. Did you know that there is even a sky resort in Mexico. You can find it in Monterreal in the state of Coahuila. You can even hike to the tops of snow capped mountains like the Nevado of Toluca and Nevado of Colima.

Hot Air Balloon Festival in the city of Leon- Its a wonderful, colourful festival in which Leon’s sky is filled with hot air balloons in different shapes, sizes and colours. Happens annually during the long weekend (for Mexicans) on month of November. Lately, the festival has brought a huge amounts of tourists so plan in advance and reserve your bedroom.

Copper Canyon in Chihuahua – Maybe you have heard of the Sumidero Canyon in the state of Chiapas. Well, compared to the Sumidero Canyon, the Copper Canyon in Chihuahua does not fall far behind. Its a truly beautiful natural wonder and if you crave a little train trip, you can hop on to The Chepe. This ride gives you a beautiful visual feast and its main feature is this marvellous Copper Canyon.

Monterreal Forrest in Coahuila – This is another surprise for many tourist and one of the best kept secrets of Mexico. You can do skying in Mexico. Yes you read correctly, skiing in Mexico features Monterreal Resort in the State of Chihuahua. As I said before, Mexico is not only beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise Oceans. Mexico is one of the most geographically diverse regions in the world and skiing is included in for tourists.

Swimming with the whale shark in Holbox Island (Isla Holbox) – Just about a 2 hour drive from Cancun, Holbox Island has some of the clearest waters you will see in your life. Swimming with the whale shark is one of the reasons this island is starting to get better known from tourists that arrive to the mayan riviera.

Ever hear of the Mayan city of Tulum? - If you have not had enough from the Mayan Riviera, well, then Tulum would be a nice place to stop and have a tour. This place is an archeologic site right off the beach a few hours away from Cancun. The ruins blending with the white sand, turquoise ocean and waves clashing against the cliff that lifts the pre-columbian city is one of the memories you will never forget in your life.

Take a stroll through Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City - When people hears about Mexico, many pictures towns surrounded by deserts and cactus. Well, this is true to some extent, specially cities and towns close to the border to de U.S. Actually, some of the most beautiful places in Mexico are well far away from the U.S. border. A case of this is Mexico City. By simply taking a walk through Paseo de la Reforma, which is one of the most important avenues, if not the most. Mexico City is all about tall buildings, cool neighbourhoods, hipe cultural and art scenes and business interchanges. If you spend a week in Mexico City you will get the feeling it was not enough time to entirely discover it. You will want to go back.

Nevado de Toluca - A few our drive from Mexico City. If you suddenly find overwhelmed of the urban jungle that is Mexico City and crave a little hike to a mountain, Nevado de Toluca is the place. It might give you the impression you are not in Mexico, it actually has a himalayans touch.

Petrified waterfalls in Oaxaca – There are two impressive petrified waterfalls (calcium carbonate) formed from thousands of years ago, carbonated water runoff. From springs, water falls rugged cliffs over 50 meters high. The area of spring that gives rise to it, was exploited to create a large pool that has now become natural spa, warm water regularly. This place is known as “Hierve el Agua” has been recognized as a probable sacred place of the ancient Zapotecs, which inhabited this region. Here in Hierve el Agua has attracted numerous archaeologists, biologists and geologists, due to place a complex irrigation system built over 2,500 years ago that keep them intrigued.
