In june 2017 we spent 3 days in a lovely little city called Rovinj, on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. We enjoyed its bars, restaurants and especially art galleries. Next we drove to the southern tip of Istria, to see Pula and it's famous amphitheatre. We endend our vacation in Motovun, a medieval town in the center of Istria, that we immediately fell in love with. ❤️
Since we liked Croatia so much, we decided to go back to spend our summer holidays there. We started our trip with visiting the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park (nacionalni park Plitvička jezera) situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Next we went to Pelješac, a peninsula in southern Dalmatia, where we stayed for 3 weeks, to see Oribić, Trpanj, Loviste, Podobuce, Duba Pelješka and Korčula . We took the airplane from Dubrovnik, where we spent our last day and got to see the famous walls of Dubrovnik, which have also been a popular filming location for the city of King's Landing in Game of Thrones.
We had a wonderful summer in croatia and will return for sure! ????
