Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa and is located slightly south of the Equator.Its large variety of nature is overwhelming and includes the Serengeti and Selous Nature Reserves, the snow-covered Kilimanjaro and the spice island of Zanzibar in the Indian Ocean. It is a country of superlatives that originated in 1964 as a result of the union of two independent countries, Tanganika and Zanzibar. On the slopes of Meru and Kilimanjaro, coffee, maize, bananas and vegetables are grown and then offered for sale at various markets. Due to its fertile volcanic soil the entire region has been used for agriculture since the middle of the nineteenth century by both the Arusha Massai and Meru tribes. The Arusha National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Africa and its green forests are a perfect playground for the countless monkeys that live there. Around twenty million years ago its landscape was created due to volcanic activity and wonderful craters were formed as well as impressive volcanic cones. The swampy forest on the slopes of the Rift Valley features more than thirty different varieties of tree, an impressive area that offers distant views across fascinating and untouched nature and for the many wealthy tourists who spend their money in the region there are various special locations that provide excellent accommodation. The origins of the Selous Game Reserve date back to German colonial times at the beginning of the twentieth century. Later, under British rule, they were united into a large protected area. Tanzania is a natural paradise that is still known by only a few. An exotic country and one that is still waiting to be explored!

The Serengeti is certainly the most famous, but it is also Tanzania's most touristic destination.

ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA: Guide to PARADISE! The MOST Beautiful Beaches in Africa!
Zanzibar is a tropical island off the coast of Tanzania. The island has the most beautiful white beaches and sights in all of Africa. In this adventurous video, we take a trip as a family to this dream destination. First we fly from Tanzania to Zanzibar, then rent a car and visit the absolute highlights in this video: Nungwi Beach, Paye, Stone Town, Kendwa Beach, Jambiani, Mtende and Eden Rock. Before this you saw us in Asia and after Zanzibar we will cross over to the mainland to go on Safari. We go by jeep past all the animals through the most beautiful nature and also rent a camper to drive through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We also visit Mauritius and Reunion by plane!
We make our journey through Africa during a world trip of one and a half years. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines . Zanzibar and Tanzania are already destination number 21 on the big trip. We have also been away from home for a year. Follow us on this world tour, first in Tanzania, from Zanzibar to the safari parks on the mainland and then to many more beautiful destinations in Africa! I'M SO HAPPY that I made it back to the incredible East African nation of TANZANIA! My previous (and only) visit here was back in Jan 2018, where I only visited the island of Zanzibar. But I really missed out because the people, culture, food and nature on the mainland is just about as good as you can find anywhere on this planet.
My friends at Qatar Airways reached out and offered to fly me and Deanna on business class to Tanzania, and we couldn't say no! I've never had a better flying experience in my life... and Tanzania was just amazing! We began our trip in Arusha, then went to Ngorongoro Conservation area before heading deep into the Serengeti for 3 nights and finally ending in a town called Moshi. Tanzania is a phenomenal country inside and out, and I can't wait to show you more of this country over the coming 2 weeks!

Zanzibar is a paradise-like island just off the Tanzanian coast. An island of spice and exotic aromas, sultans' palaces, harems, shining white beaches and fiery red sunsets.
The ancient oriental city of Zanzibar derived its name from its many old stone buildings. Charming and mysterious, they have witnessed much of the island's dramatic past and the tangled architecture of coral stone and shell lime serves as a fascinating backdrop to this colorful city that is strongly influenced by an Arabian way of life.
In the north of the old town is one of the island's most beautiful buildings, the Ismali Dispensarium. It was built by a wealthy Indian businessman and was originally a hospital with an adjoining pharmacy. Today it contains a cultural centre.
The house of the infamous Tippu Tip, who was once Zanzibar's biggest slave trader, has not yet been restored. He was an extremely unpleasant man who sent his servants into the African bush to catch slaves who were later sold in Zanzibar. Livingstone House was built in 1861. The famous missionary and explorer once resided there prior to going on his final expedition. He was frequently the guest of Tippu Tip who offered Dr. Livingstone various maps that were based upon his slave routes.
A tropical paradise just off the African coast with the flair of the Orient, historic architecture and the colors of Africa. Zanzibar is most assuredly a legendary and fairy-tale island of global culture.

Framed by Malawi, Tanzania and Mosambique, Lake Malawi in the heart of Africa is situated at the southern end of East Africa’s Rift Valley. It extends more than six hundred kilometres from north to south, is up to eighty kilometres wide and in some sections is over seven hundred metres deep.Cichlids, the living jewels of Lake Malawi, are highly sought after among aquatic fish enthusiasts. The brightly-coloured males achieve the highest prices in both Europe and the U.S.A. Diving just off the coast is like being in a gigantic aquarium and around a thousand species of dazzling cichlids inhabit the rocky reefs around various islands. It is not necessary to dive deep to observe the Malawi cichlids as the most colourful varieties are to be found just below the surface. In the depths, strange craters rise from the muddy seabed. Some have a diameter of more than two metres and are one metre high. They are not volcanoes but the leks of male cichlids. The tiny fish spend months building the leks so as to make a good impression on passing females. Lake Malawi, the ‘Lake Of Stars’, is a paradise of nature where in 1980 the southern section became the first national park in the world to be used for the conservation of freshwater fish.

Botswana is the largest natural paradise in southern Africa. Limited tourism, a combination of untouched wilderness and the comfort and luxury of a handful of safari camps, makes this Africa’s model country. Our journey begins in nearby Zimbabwe that is located close to Botswana’s northern frontier at Victoria Falls that is undoubtedly one of the most impressive natural wonders in the world. Eighty kilometres west and we have crossed the Botswana border and arrive in the first large city in the north of the country, Kasane, that is located on the Chobe River and marks the country’s frontier with Namibia. In addition to growing tourism the fishing industry is also important to Kasane’s economy. The river contains an abundance of fish and so the local fishermen are provided with a good income to support their families. Since 1915 Ma-Un has been Botswana’s main city and until the beginning of the 1990s was only accessible via dusty gravel roads, a border town on the edge of a vast wilderness. The state run Moremi National Park that extends for around a hundred thousand hectares is the largest nature reserve in the Okavango Delta. It is located on Chief’s Island, the largest island in the region. In recent years further private wildlife reserves have been established that are well worth a visit and are also strictly controlled and protected natural habitats. Amid the African wilderness we arrive at a luxurious lodge that is not only the ideal starting point for many safaris but also provides a good degree of relaxation after an exhausting day out. Suddenly two members of the San Tribe approach the lodge. These ‘Bushmen’ will accompany us on our journey into the Kalahari Desert that is also their home. Elephant herds on the Chobe River, the vast wilderness of the Kalahari and the mystique of the Okavango Delta help to make Botswana one of the last great paradises on Earth!

Malawi (Africa) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Vacation travel video about destination Malawi in Africa.
Malawi is the unknown Africa in the south-east of the Continent. A wild country between sea and highlands, a land of contrasts with amazing green mountains and high plateaus but most of all, Lake Malawi.In the north west and on the border with Zambia is the thousand square kilometre Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve, home to more than two hundred elephants who, in small groups, visit the Kazuni Safari Camp on their way to the lake. In the Lake Kazuni area there are many hippos and crocodiles which although rarely seen from the shore can certainly be heard at night. The location of the small town of Nkhata Bay is quite spectacular, a large, sheltered bay, accessible via a steep slope. Small boats transport the local people to various locations so that they can buy and sell, as there are hardly any roads around the lake. A restless, colourful and vibrant harbour town and the northernmost point which famous explorer Dr. David Livingstone reached on his historic voyage of discovery. Cichlids, the living jewels of Lake Malawi, are highly sought after among aquatic fish enthusiasts, the brightly coloured males achieving the highest prices. Provided with a good supply of oxygen and a light sedative in the water, once a month the fish are taken to the airport. The craggy rock scenery of Lake Malawi was not always below water. Only when the southern section of the East African Rift Valley filled with water did it become home to cichlids. On the extreme south east coast on the border with Mozambique is Mount Mulanje, a huge mountain range that formed during volcanic activity more than a hundred and thirty million years ago. At the foot of the mountain scenery grows one of the world’s finest varieties of tea. The Maravi Kingdom eventually became an independent country, Malawi, the warm and beating heart of Africa!
