This is the ultimate way to spend your day in St. Maarten. This tour visits both the French and Dutch side of the island and you’ll get to experience St. Maarten both by land and sea. Depart on your air conditioned motorcoach with your professional guide narrating the rich history of the island and pointing out sites of interest. Cross the border and visit the French side where you’ll pass Orient Beach and Grand Cas - the cuisine capital of the Caribbean. Stop in Marigot, the French capital for 1 hour of free time to explore the open air market, visit the fantastic shops, or dine at one of many cafe's or restaurants in Marina Port Royal.
Next you’ll board a 65 foot double decker boat the Explorer where you’ll listen to great music, relax, and have a complimentary open bar on a 1 hour lagoon cruise while the DJ entertains you with Caribbean songs and points out the multimillion dollar villa's and yachts of the rich and famous. Your cruise will drop you back off at Simpson Bay on the Dutch side where you will re-board your motor coach and conclude the rest of your island tour while you return to your ship. If time permits, you will have the option of being dropped off at Philipsburg, the Dutch capital to continue shopping and exploring. This truly is the ultimate island tour!

Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship docked at St. Martin. Walking from the Boardwalk to the ship..Did we make it back to the ship on time? Cutting it close! After the Culinary Adventure ~ Shore Excursion, #celebrityedge #stmartin #stmaarten we walked around the shops of St. Martin then headed back to the Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship. On the way we met Pascale from SXM Rally Tours, this is where you can rent these 4 seat Buggy's and tour the Island on your own. Next time we visit, we will definitely rent one. It's just a 15 minute walk from the ship, if you rent one, mention this video!!

St Martin / St Maarten is the world's smallest territory shared by two countries. The northern part is French and called St Martin and the southern part is Dutch and called St Maarten. Our cruise ship docked in Philipsburg which is the capital of Sint Maarten.

Cruise Ship Tipping Hurricane Irma Hurricane Maria Updates St Maarten St Thomas Puerto Rico How tipping works on a cruise ship. Tipping is so easy on a cruise. You can prepay for your tips before you even set foot on the ship. The cruise line automatically divides the tip proceeds to the various staff members and there is no pressure for you to decide who gets how much or even if you missed someone. Since September the Caribbean area has been in recovery mode to repair and rebuild entire support systems including the electrical grid on a number of islands. The good news is that St Maarten and St Thomas are open again for cruise ships and their passengers. Puerto Rico is still rebuilding from Hurricane Maria but the cruise port is open. Meanwhile the Cayman Islands are enjoying record airline passangers and cruise passangers this season with many vacationers avoiding the eastern Caribbean areas for the Western Caribbean.

St Maarten/St Martin
This was our stop in St. Maarten on our 10 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise with RCCI. We did a tour of the Island with Bernard's Tours. Our guide Daniel was great he showed us around the Dutch side and took us across the Boarder to the French side then back to Maho Beach to watch some planes coming in. Great tour.
