Secret Beach is a very popular not-so-secret beach destination located on the leeward side of Ambergris Caye. Here is quick glimpse from above and on the beach. You'll need a golf cart to get here, but it's definitely worth the trip. Next time you're in San Pedro, take a trip out to Secret Beach.

Secret Beach is a secluded piece of paradise with its pristine water and white sand beaches. Nowadays, Secret Beach is Ambergris Caye's worst kept secret, but it remains absolutely beautiful.

Belize Day 4 - A trip to Secret Beach, San Pedro, Belize
Secret Beach, San Pedro, Belize
Secret Beach is on the west side of the island. The drive by golf cart to this beach is about 40-45 minutes. Less than 10 years ago a developer made a road to connect the west side to the east. From then on businesses have begun to establish. Undoubtedly, Secret Beach is one of the most stunning natural areas in Belize. There is no reef on the west side but the water is crystal clear with sandy bottom and limestone shores. This is a perfect place to swim, float and relax while enjoying the views and sipping on your drinks.

This is the first day or two in Belize for my wife and I. We had a great 2 week trip here recently. I will have 6 episodes, one each day. Ambergris Caye is the largest island in Belize, pretty much dedicated to tourism. We stayed at a place called Coco Beach which was very nice. We went to Secret Beach, which wasn't so secret. Then we enjoyed the town of San Pedro. Next episode tomorrow will be exploring Xunantunich the ancient Mayan ruin.
