Roatan Honduras: Top Tips For Travelers
I’m sure you have heard of Honduras, but not many people think about it as a vacation destination. Roatan Honduras is one of my favorite places to visit on any Western Caribbean cruise itinerary and I want to show you why.
We have been to Roatan Honduras before, and it quickly became one of our favorite places to visit. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. We sailed in on Princess Cruise Line for this visit so we ported at Mahogany Bay. This port is the newest and largest of the two cruise ports. During our trip to Roatan we visited a few great places that we highly recommend. One of the is Arch's Iguana Reserve. If you want to see a lot of iguanas and get up close to them, this is a great place to do so. The other place is Manawakiee Park, where you can interact with monkeys, sloths, and birds. This is a great place with friendly staff.

On our latest trip to the Caribbean, our first stop was in Roatan Honduras. We wanted to give you a tour of the port and what there is to do when you get off the ship to help you on your next cruise stopping in Roatan.
We sailed on Norwegian Cruise lines, Breakaway for a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise and although small this port has some nice things to offer. It is under construction so hopefully with an expansion Roatan will have more and more amazing things to do.
This is a great port but one that you'll likely be able to finish pretty quick so we highly recommend staying on the ship and only getting off briefly or taking one of the amazing cruise excursions offered both on the dock or via your cruise line.

Roatan is famous for its amazing offshore reefs and perfectly suited for both new and advanced divers. It's a well-known destination for coral gardens, shipwrecks such as the Odyssey and Aguila, sharks and all sorts of fish, but it's also famous for encountering the largest fish in the sea: the majestic whale sharks.
Roatán is an island in the Caribbean, about 65 kilometres off the northern coast of Honduras. It is located between the islands of Utila and Guanaja, and is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras. The island was formerly known in English as Ruatan and Rattan.

In this video we bring you along on our family's excursion experience with Roatan Five Stars Tours. This was such an amazing excursion! First, we stopped to visit the sloths, monkeys, and birds. ???????? Is Roatan Cruise Port Worth Visiting? - Caribbean Cruise Ports
We are back at the Port of Roatan Town Centre to give you an updated tour. What do you need to bring? What is there to do? Caribbean Cruise Ports and what they offer varies from port to port. We're going to give you a tour of what you’ll experience at the Coxen Hole Port if you decide to walk around the port. This can help you to understand if you should pick an excursion or not.
Depending who you are sailing with for your Caribbean Cruise you will dock at one of two ports in Roatan, either Coxen Hole or Mahogany Bay. Both of the Roatan cruise port destinations have your basic amenities like washrooms, ATMs, duty free shopping and restaurants.
One of the things that is great about the Roatan Honduras cruise port is that you do not have to tender. You just get off the ship and walk to the end of the dock, then you are right at the port. The cruise lines that dock at the Town Center at the Port of Roatan are NCL, Celebrity cruises, Royal Caribbean cruise Line and Virgin Voyages.
Our Roatan Cruise Port review goes into full detail about the atmosphere and what is at the port. The port opened in 2008 and it has all your typical shops like a diamonds international, some local market crafts and souvenirs, as well as a pharmacy and ATM. If you would like to purchase an excursion there is a large section with tons of different companies offering different experiences. This is can be found at most cruise ports in the Caribbean. You can explore all of the Coxen Hole Roatan Cruise port and have a drink in less than a couple hours so this would make it a good port to book an excursion or explore on your own.

Are you going to Roatan on a cruise & wondering what to do? Roatan is a cruise port where you're probably better off booking an excursion.Luckily, there are lots of great things to do in Roatan cruise port.
Here's what we did in Roatan on a recent cruise. We booked a shore excursion & had a fantastic day visiting Roatan. However, there are some things to avoid in Roatan, as well as things to be aware of when you are traveling to Roatan by cruise ship.
In this video I go over our roatan private shore excursion & tour in Roatan, including what we did. We visited a monkey & sloth sanctuary & got to hug a sloth! We also went to a chocolate factory, souvenir stores & West Bay beach. We were in the Coxen Hole cruise port, however you may be in Mahogany Bay. This is good information if you're going on a Carnival cruise, Royal Caribbean cruise, Virgin Voyages, Princess Cruise, Celebrity cruise or any Caribbean cruise that stops in Roatan, Honduras.

Roatan Honduras - Infinity Bay Resort - West Bay & West End
A recent visit to Roatan Honduras, staying at Infinity Bay Resort in West Bay. Took a day trip by water taxi to West End to view the quaint little town with numerous shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the beautiful fine sandy beaches and the warm tropical waters. Swim, snorkel, and just relax. A wonderful getaway.

Hoy tocaba Roatan Honduras, Así que el plan principal era conocer un poco de ella.
Tomamos un transporte en el mismo puerto, este nos llevó por la letras de Roatán, una fábrica de chocolates para luego terminar en West Bay Beach.
Para acceder a esta playa tuvimos que pagar $20 dólares p/p esto nos incluyó wifi,sillas, baños y la seguridad.
Ya en la tarde, antes de abordar fuimos a comer a un restaurante que de hecho está cerca del puerto.

Carnival Paradise rescues 28 at sea
On Sunday, April 21, around 2:30 pm local time, Carnival Cruise Line’s Paradise rescued 27 Cuban nationals who were adrift at sea and signaling for assistance.
Carnival Paradise’s bridge team spotted the vessel while en route from Tampa to Roatan, Honduras, and turned the ship around to rescue them. All were taken aboard, offered food and were examined by the medical team.
Both the US Coast Guard Sector Key West and Roatan officials were notified.
The Carnival Paradise is expected to arrive in Honduras on Monday, April 22.
