We spent 5 summer months filming Lebanon from Above, including its rural, urban, cultural touristic and historical location, as well as the amazing number of festivals.
The idea was to show Lebanon's beauty, diversity and wealth from another angle (above), in order to encourage and promote international and domestic tourism.
My main personal goal is to remind us all that Lebanon is not all about problems, political turmoil, trash...etc but is first and foremost a country that has so much to offer on such a small portion of land, and is still, in spite of everything, truly beautiful.
Maybe by seeing this video, people who lost sight of what Lebanon truly is, will have newfound optimism and strength to participate in steering the country in the right direction, to understand that it is their country to love and protect.

We filmed from mid June to early November and covered Mount Lebanon, Beirut, Southern Lebanon, the Bekaa, Baalbek and North Lebanon.
The book, also titled Rise Above Lebanon, was released on 2 December 2015. it is a hardcover photography book of the highest standard, with 200 pages of images of Lebanon from Above and is available in all major bookshops in Lebanon.

Roads of Lebanon | Short film (2019)
[ Update ]: this film was filmed right before the revolution started as well as the explosion in Beirut in 2020. My thoughts are with all the Lebanese people who continue suffering.

Lebanon is so much more than what I managed to capture in this short video. This is not a true image of Lebanon, but rather a reflection of our trip there in February 2019. It is an incredibly interesting country full of contrasts between cultures, religions and welth! In this video I am mostly showing the poor parts of Lebanese cities, but that is because those parts were full of life and very interesting atmospheres. They were also visually more interesting as I just wanted to go deeper and deeper and discover more. But there are also massive skyscrapers, fancy hotels and shopping malls, bars and clubs, expensive and big american cars, churches and mosques, all those things are missing in this video. But let me just say that Lebanon is an incredible country, with even friendlier and more hospitable people and it is absolutely worth everyone's visit. Merci ktir!

Rise Above NORTH Lebanon !
After the success of the Rise Above Lebanon film, which was launched at the beginning of 2016, The Ministry of Tourism asked us to make 5 short films, one for each main region of Lebanon.
This is the first one, and I chose to start with the North, because it was not portrayed enough in the full film!
I will be posting a new region once a week.

This is the Second one, Rise Above South Lebanon!
