Riga the capital city of Latvia is definitely the best travel destination in the Baltic States or the Baltics. The aerial footage was taken with DJI Mavic drone in 4k resolution.
Riga is the largest city of Latvia and the Baltic states, home to one third of Latvia's population and one tenth of the Baltic states' population. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the Daugava. Riga's territory lies between one and ten metres above sea level, on a flat and sandy plain.
Riga was founded in 1201 and is a former Hanseatic League member. In 2016, Riga received 2.3 million visitors. It is served by Riga International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the Baltic states. Riga is a member of Eurocities, the Union of the Baltic Cities and Union of Capitals of the European Union.

This cinematic video footage was filmed on DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone. It was done in hyperlapse mode, taking photos each 2 seconds. Each part of the video was a 15 second hyperlapse. These photos were color graded in Adobe Lightroom and stabilized in Adobe Premiere.

Riga, Latvia's capital, is set on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of the River Daugava. It's considered a social facility and is home to several museums and opera houses. The city is also known for its wooden structures, art nouveau style, and middle ages Old Town. The pedestrian-only Old Town has several stores and restaurants and is residence to busy Livu Square, with bars and clubs.
The Art Nouveau style in Riga composes approximately one-third of all the structures in the center of Riga, making Latvia's resources the city with the highest possible concentration of Art Nouveau architecture throughout the globe.
Riga has a rich history dating back to the 13th century. Its medieval centre was destroyed during World War II, but today, the city is home to some of the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe. Art Nouveau is a style that flourished between 1890 and 1910. Free-flowing curves and organic forms characterized it. This new art form was inspired by nature and the natural world. This style of architecture was also known as Jugendstil (German for youth style) or Modernisme (French for modernism). Riga was founded in 1201. It was a castle of the Teutonic Order.
In 1710 during the Great Northern War the city was incorporated to Russia. Then it became a center of Courland province.
The Riga inhabitants are named “Rīdzinieki” on Latvian and “рижане”(rizhani) on Russian.
Most of the people by ethnic origin are Latvian (45%) and 40% are Russian. Historically the city had large German population. Among other ethnic groups there are Byelorussians, Poles and Jews.
During the Soviet period the Riga wagon building factory made very big number of local trains.
