KRABI, THAILAND (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do In Krabi (Ao Nang & Around)
Krabi is located on southern Thailand’s west coast. Krabi is home to impressive limestone cliffs, dense mangrove forests, white sand beaches, and more than 100 offshore islands.

10. Enjoy the Ao Nang beaches & sunset
Ao Nang Beach is a great place to admire the Andaman sea, take a dip, and watch the sunset.
9. Explore the food & nightlife at Ao Nang
The Soi RCA Entertainment area is the place to go if you’re looking for a late night party.
8. Go For an Island-Hopping Tour
We did a day trip by longtail boat, covering 4 islands. There were multiple stops for swimming and snorkeling and a stop at Railay Beach.

7. Hike the Wat Tham Sua
Sitting right outside of Krabi Town, the Tiger Cave Temple is certainly worth a visit. Most visitors come to climb the 1,260 steps to the top of the hill.
6. Explore Thung Teao Forest Natural Park
There is a short boardwalk trail that takes you to three different pools in the middle of the jungle: Crystal Pool, Emerald Pool, and the Blue Pool.
5. Dip into the Krabi Hot Springs
Cut into smooth rocks, the hot springs flow from deep rooted thermal springs that are located inside volcanic chambers.

4. Krabi Town Weekend Night Market

Koh Phi Phi are undoubtedly Krabi’s most popular islands to visit. From Ao Nang, you can join a full-day speedboat tour to the islands, which are encircled with sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and spectacular natural scenery.

We spent two amazing weeks in Phi Phi Don and we wanted to share what Phi Phi is currently like in 2022! We were so shocked at the amount of things to do here on the island and the amount of people EVERYWHERE! Compared to some of the islands we have visited Phi Phi had a buzz from the moment we arrived to the pier.
Whether you're looking to relax and enjoy the beaches or rent a kayak and go exploring you are spoilt for choice of things to do here. And in the evenings there is such a great atmosphere, once the sun goes down everyone makes there way over to Loh Dalum beach to watch the amazing fire shows and grab a drink. Phi Phi Island Is one of our absolute favorite places to vacation when visiting Thailand. The island became especially popular after several scenes from Leonardo DiCaprio's 2000 film, The Beach was filmed there.
But beyond its Hollywood shout-out, there are plenty of other reasons why you should visit! For one thing, it’s located between two fantastic tourist hubs, Krabi and Phuket. Actually, technically speaking Phi Phi belongs to the Krabi province. That means Phi Phi is easily accessible via ferry.
The island, or more precisely, the islands feature stunning features, attractions, and activities that will keep you and your travel companions busy and entertained. It’s especially nice for adult travelers who are looking to let loose and enjoy the simple pleasures of island life. It’s an idyllic tropical paradise where no cars or roads exist and all of the people you come across will greet you warmly with a smile.

Most Popular Things to Do in Phuket
1. Explore the Beaches of Phuket.
This seems to be so obvious since this is the main reason why most travellers travel such long distances, but did you know that we counted more than 46 beaches? You probably know the famous ones, mostly located on the southwest coast: Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala and Nai Harn.
2. Explore Phang Nga Bay.
The incredible scenery of Phang Nga has always been at the top of our list of places to visit. There are many ways to explore it. You can take a lazy sunset cruise on a Chinese Junk or explore Phang Nga by canoe through caves and enclosed lagoons. unforgettable memories.
3. Climb to Big Buddha of Phuket.
Number 3 on our list of best things to do in Phuket is the Big Buddha, an iconic 45-meter tall white marble statue sitting at the top of Nakkerd hill in the south of the island.
4. Take a Trip to Phi Phi Islands.
Phi Phi is a beautiful archipelago made of fantastic beaches and immense cliffs over two bays you can admire from a famous viewpoint. Phi Phi is also renowned among young crowds for those legendary beach parties lasting all night long, reminding a bit of the Full Moon Parties on Koh Phangan.
5. Maya Bay
We can’t talk about Phi Phi Islands without talking about Maya Bay. We listed it separately because it can be a day trip on its own. Maya Bay has reopened after being closed for a while but access is restricted.
6.Party on Bangla Road
Bangla Road might not be to everyone’s taste, but judging by the enormous crowd walking up and down Patong walking street every night, Bangla is on many people’s must-see list. Unlike what most people believe, Soi Bangla is not a Sin City for Single Men.
7.Explore Phuket Old Town.
It’s hard to resist those old Sino-Portuguese streets with beautiful shophouses and magnificent mansions. Phuket’s old town is perfect for a half-day, with many small cafes, bakeries, and eateries along the way.
8 .Visit Chalong Temple
Chalong Temple (locally called Wat Chalong), built at the beginning of the 19th century, is the largest and the most visited Buddhist temple in Phuket. The most iconic building on the temple grounds is a 60-meter-tall stupa sheltering a fragment of bone from Buddha.
9. Explore the many Night Markets!
There is a growing list of superb beach clubs all around Phuket. Most are open all day for customers to enjoy food and drinks on comfortable sofas or beach beds, and some turn into party clubs at night.
10. Spa and Massages
Thailand is a massage and well-being destination famous around the world. Almost every hotel has a spa, and massages are available everywhere, even on the beach! The prices start around 300 baht for a simple Thai massage to extravagant half-day packages in luxury resorts.
11. James Bond Island
James Bond Island is one of those bucket list items many people want to tick off their list of Things to Do in Phuket. There are many positive and negative opinions about James Bond Island, and most are justified.
12. Koh Panyi
Koh Panyi is a surprisingly small fishermen’s village built entirely on stilts in the middle of Phang Nga Bay. What used to be a remote place is now more of a tourist attraction, but it is still a real village with a sizeable Muslim community, a mosque and a school. You can explore the narrow ‘streets’ and see the water through the crevices of the floor, do some local shopping and enjoy a tasty seafood lunch.
13. Plane Spotting on Mai Khao Beach
Plane Spotting has become a viral phenomenon since the day it became forbidden. The more it’s forbidden, the more people go there, and this once-deserted beach has become a permanent Instagram playground. And why not? Seeing these enormous flying machines approaching from far away and getting closer to you in a roar is jaw-dropping. As they are about to land, they fly so low above the turquoise water; that you could almost touch their wheels!
14. Karon Viewpoint
Next on our list of best things to do in Phuket is the famous Karon Viewpoint, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of three magnificent bays. The closest is Kata Noi Beach, further is the beautiful bay of Kata with its small iconic island, and the far is Karon Beach.
15. Watch the Simon Cabaret Show
Simon Cabaret on Patong Beach is a performance with a Las Vegas atmosphere but with a twist. The stage is magnificent, and the sets and costumes are glittering and colourful, but what people come to see are the stunning ladyboys! Perfect bodies with cute faces, most of them would fool you!
