Tour to Paradise Island , one of the most beautiful and paradisiacal places of the Dominican Republic. Paradise Island, whose real name is Cayo Paraiso or Cayo Arena, is a coral islet located in the Northwest of the Dominican Republic off the coast of Puerto Plata in Punta Rucia. Of incredible beauty, this little island is plunged in such a beautiful landscape that people think they are in a dream. Imagine sunning on a small island lost in the sea surrounded by white sands and crystal clear waters that you can visualize the background with incredible clarity, its colors ranging from turquoise blue to emerald green, well ... literally that is precisely this little kay called Parasdise Island.
This sandy bank that is frequently visited by hundreds of tourists, is a jewel of nature, a true paradise of the Caribbean. It is difficult to tell them the size of this cay because it shrinks and expands depending on the seasons of the sea currents. Cayo Arena is located in one of the driest areas of the Dominican Republic...

We're in one of the most beautiful places in all of the Dominican Republic in the fish village of Punta Rucia (the North coast of the DR). In the last video we arrived in Punta Rucia and walked around the small village.
In this video we're going on one of the best excursions in the area, a boat ride to Cayo Arena (Paradise Island). Cayo Arena in a small sandbar island in the middle of the ocean surrounded by a reef and has great snorkelling. We spend a couple of hours there and then on the way back are taken by boat through the mangroves.
After arriving back in Punta Rucia we head over the Punta Rucia Lodge to spend the afternoon, have a delicious lunch and enjoy their pool and beach area.

Paradise Island In Dominican Republic!! (Catalina Island) Nov 2022
I had been in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for some time but had decided to go out for a daytrip to an island called Catalina Island. It is located 1.5h from Punta Cana and outside the city of La Romana, just 1.5 miles off the coast. The islan dis a protected island and there ar eno houses on it. In the coming videos I will be traveling to santo domingo, Cabarete, Puerto Plata, Sosua and maybe Las Terrenas. Dominican republic is similar to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and places like Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum and Cozumel. It's similar in many aspects but Mexico seems a bit more developed so far. The hurricane season in the caribbean is about to be over soon. There had been a recent hurricane called hurricane Nicole but it had gone further up away from Dominican Republic.

A trip to Cayo Arena (a.k.a Paradise Island) off the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.
The island is a small sandbar about 20 minutes boat ride from Punta Rucia (Playa Ensenada) which itself is 110km or 2.5 hours West of Cabarete, close to the border with Haiti. It's an idyllic island with crystal clear water where you can go snorkelling.
There are lots of tour operators at Playa Ensenada, we hired a car for $40 USD and then took a small boat which was $25 USD each. You can get a full tour which picks you up from Sosua or Puerto Plata, takes a larger boat and returns you for around $80-$90 USD. Honestly, it's better to take a small boat so that you arrive on the island early because the larger boats drop off around 50 people.
Along the way you can stop at La Piscina Natural which is a sandy area in the reef and afterwards (if you take a small boat) you can take a quick trip through the mangroves.
Unfortunately we didn't get to see any manatees - Punta Rucia is one of the only places you can see them.
I would advise getting there as early as possible not only because the island gets busy but also because the wind picks up and it's quite exposed. All in all, it's a good little day trip!

Saona Island Dominican Republic 4K
We go from Punta Cana to Saona Island on a boat tour. We do lots of swimming, dancing and have tons of fun in the Dominican Republic sunshine. Here on this tour you will get those trademark Caribbean blue waters. This area is closer to La Romana than it is to Punta Cana as the beach area is Bayahibe. the island is very very small so do not expect to do something else than see the coral and fish , and for sure take beautiful pictures with the white sand and the blue water. near by you can observe the Mangroves.
