This 3.5 hour drive starts in Palos Verdes, California then goes south through San Pedro then to Long Beach. It then makes a quick stop in Seal Beach, then drives by Huntington Beach. We drive by Newport beach then Laguna beach and Dana Point. We end this trip at the San Diego State Line just in time for the sunset.

Local beaches include the Wedge, known for its big waves, and Corona del Mar State Beach. The Orange County Museum of Art exhibits modern and contemporary works.

Disney California Adventure recently reopened its park to public after several months of closure. However, only Buena Vista Street and portion of Hollywood Land were opened. Disneyland Park and Resort remain closed. Downtown Disney District, which reopened last summer, has turned magical with its Christmas holiday decorations.
Entrance to Downtown Disney requires temperature and security check so expect long queuing line. Admission to California is free but through waitlist, only pay $10 for parking.

In August 2020 we took a family road trip from Utah to California to experience the Taste of Calico at Knotts Berry Farm. While we were there we also explored Downtown Disney and visited Newport Beach. Overall, we felt very safe with the social distancing and health protocols put in place by both Knotts Berry Farm and Downtown Disney. Although it was sad to see Disneyland closed we still had a lot of fun as a family.

Newport Beach California - Balboa Island - 4K Driving Tour
Balboa Island is a harborside community in Newport Beach, California, accessible to the public via bridge, ferry and several public docks. The community is surrounded by a paved concrete boardwalk open to pedestrian traffic, designated as a public walking trail by the city.
Balboa Island's Marine Avenue is home to local small businesses including restaurants, bakeries, fishing & tackle, and local crafts. The island also has a fire station and a post office.

The Balboa Fun Zone is one of Southern California’s oldest and last great coastal amusement areas and is fun for the whole family. Located in Newport Beach, California, the Balboa Fun Zone has been entertaining guests since 1936. You can ride the Ferris wheel, visit the arcade, but you definitely shouldn't leave without taking a ride on the Balboa Island auto ferry. Also make sure to visit Newport Beach's oldest building, the Balboa Pavilion built in 1906, now the terminal for the Catalina Express ferry.
