Times Square comes alive at night time with all the bright lights and billboards. It started raining halfway in my Times Square walk. December is a very popular month in New York City with all the Christmas festivities all over the city.

4K 360° raw video in NYC walking from Columbus Circle to Times Square. I was actually curious how this video would turn out since I've never done a proper walk with this camera yet, and because I had to hold the camera so awkwardly I got some interesting reactions from it! I'm impressed with its performance, though I still prefer shooting video in traditional format.

Snowfall in Times Square, NYC | Walking in New York City in the Winter Snow, 4k
Snowfall walk in Times Square, New York City. It's been a year since I last visited New York. I didn't plan a route for this video. My friend living in Brooklyn sent me a text that there would be snowfall in New York the following morning, so I made a 14-hour drive up to New York the day before and crashed in my hotel room in Times Square at 2 am. The next morning it started to snow, but I was still totally exhausted from the night before. This walk is a bit aimless and mostly around Times Square because I had to start work immediately after and was already out of it. I wanted to capture the contrast between this video and my previous videos from 2019. New York is so quiet. Early apologies for all of the cuts in the recording. I stopped to clear water residue off of my camera lens every so often. Binaural audio for an immersive experience.

Today we explore Times Square, New York Cities iconic billboard lined, brightly lit at all hours, super loud, intensely animated commercial intersection. One of NYC major tourist destinations, this neighborhood in Midtown Manhattan has become a major entertainment hub.
The pedestrian plaza packed with seating was originally opposed by local businesses who thought that closing the street to cars would hurt business. The original seats put out for pedestrians were inexpensive multicolored plastic lawn chairs, a source of amusement to many New Yorkers who were not used to this experimental and cheap installation.
Although the plaza had mixed results on traffic in the area, injuries to motorists and pedestrians decreased, fewer pedestrians were walking in the road, and the number of pedestrians in Times Square increased. On February 11, 2010, Mayor Bloomberg announced that the pedestrian plazas would become permanent.
Today the plaza is formed by the junction of Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street. Together with adjacent Duffy Square, Times Square is a bowtie-shaped space five blocks long between 42nd and 47th Streets.

Green space
Both London and New York have fair amount of parks and gardens. But there is a reason why New York is often called a concrete jungle. London is actually made up of 62% green space versus New York's 14%.
Yes, New York has the iconic Central Park, but London parks are more evenly distributed across the city, and they’re just better designed. London parks have ponds, outdoor theatres and cafes. Not to mention all the smaller gardens and green squares you can find in London.
So, when it comes to green areas, the score is one nil, London wins.
