WINTER RV CAMPING: THE ULTIMATE (HOW TO) GUIDE
???? Winter RV camping can be a lot of fun… as long as you have running water and you don’t freeze in your RV. This video is the Ultimate RV Winter Camping Guide to help you prepare your rig for the cold weather. As we mentioned in video, we quickly learned that moving every 3-4 days in cold weather was fatiguing. The setup & teardown process is longer and often too cold to use our water hose. So we changed our plans and booked 12 days at Tiger Run Resort in Breckenridge, CO. This is an exceptional RV Resort where you can rent or buy your own site minutes from downtown Breckenridge and close to Vail Resorts and all your favorite winter activities.

Sedona, AZ seems to be the destination we try new things. This was the first time we took the new rig (Grand Ginger – our Grand Design 312BHTS Travel Trailer) onto the dirt roads to dry camped on BLM land. The first mistake we made was taking a fire road off of a fire road. We’ll leave those roads for the truck campers and class B’s and stick to the main fire road next time! The next mistake we made was not arriving with plenty of water and turns out our 2 6v batteries were not suitable for the amount of power we needed during this trip.
Maybe you’ve had a similar trip where things don’t seem to come together. In this video, we offer some tips and ideas to help your trip back on track.

THE ROAD TO COLORADO (WINTER RV CAMPING) EP 88 Part 1
The drive to Colorado from Utah is breathtaking. Winding roads through snow covered mountains, endless tunnels with an occasional train passing along the river. The entire countryside is reminiscent of the us of the Wild West and gold mining.
In this episode, we setup at Tiger Run Resort in Breckenridge, CO and work in our cozy trailer while snow falls for over 20 hours. Then we head into town to take our first glace at the International Snow Sculpting Contest before visiting Nordic Ski Center for a full day of snow shoeing.

SECRET BOONDOCKING IN GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK (RV AMERICA)
What a surprise to end up back in Yellowstone National Park on our way to see the eclipse in the Grand Tetons! Although we were only in Yellowstone for a couple hours, we were able to visit Midway Geyser and record the beautiful drive through the National Park. In this episode, we connect with Less Junk More Journey for the Solar Eclipse and boondock in the Tetons (43.7638, -110.5538).

MONUMENT VALLEY | SCENIC DRIVE & SUNRISE (RV AMERICA)
RVing the Southwest has been every bit has breathtaking as we imagined. When you think of the Southwest, Monument Valley likely what comes to mind. In this episode, we stay at Gouldings RV Park just minuets from the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. If you have a National Park Pass, it won’t work here. We paid $20 for our vehicle and it was a 3 day pass, which was perfect to drive the 17 mile “Valley Drive” and we come back to hike the Wildcat trail the next day. We also woke up early to catch the sunrise at “The View” which is the hotel overlooking the park. During the season, you can dry camp at The View RV Park.

There is a lot going on in this episode. Caleb’s birthday a lot of fun as we took a boat ride out to Coral Island near Guaybitos, Mexico to do a little snorkeling. Then it’s time for this old RV for some RV upgrades. I finally fixed the front cap from coming apart, which was a Pacific Coachworks defect that they did a lousy job covering up and “we” also added metal wheel wells from the flat tires I’ve had in the past. Then it was off to hills with the Mexican Love Express to donate clothes and resources to hundreds of people. Trish and Caleb would have been there, but they were under the weather, so it was just Carson and Dad. We then got Tori from the airport and visited the doctor before releasing turtles into the sunset.

Trish saw a YouTube video about Devil’s Den Spring in Florida and we said… we must go there! It was in the direction of Destin Beach so we entered it into Google Maps and didn’t look back. Little did we know that there was RV park on the property so we decided to stay the night and enjoy the natural spring the entire next day. This is a must do in Florida if you’re ever near Gainsville or Ocala.
