Episode - 1 In my quest for Adventure, i decided to take the unexplored Konkan Coastal route also known as the Sagari Maha Marg. Longest route to reach Ganpatipule. 18-1/2 Hrs of challenging terrain & breathtaking views that make it Worth it!!
I was in for a treat & a shock at the same time, for i couldn't have imagined such scenic beauty.

Exploring Mumbai in One Day - Best Sights in Bombay
We had an awesome day in Mumbai taking in the sights of the city that was previously named Bombay! Mumbai was quite different than other cities we have visited in India so far, mostly because the city is right on the coast. During our one day of exploring Mumbai, we visited the Gateway of India (and almost got robbed), had a coffee inside the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, visited Chowpatty Beach at sunset, tried vada pav for the first time, and got to see the CST train station (chhatrapati shivaji terminus) lit up at night! Oh yeah, and when we arrived in Mumbai we took the local Mumbai train. That was WILD!
If you are visiting Mumbai and are wondering what to do with one day in Bombay, feel free to follow our itinerary! If you are a foreigner visiting India for the first time like we are, be sure to schedule in lots of breaks during your day exploring Mumbai because not only is it very hot, but it's very busy! People at the Gateway to India can be very excited to take pictures with foreigners visiting India, and if you're like us, this can result in a weary traveler! Going for a coffee inside the Taj Mahal Palace hotel (just across the street from the Gateway of India) is a great way to take a peaceful, air conditioned break after your visit to the harbor.

Mumbai's Super Coastal Road

Mumbai’s ambitious Coastal Road project—connecting South Bombay to the suburbs—is finally going to start in April, 2018 and be ready for use to the financial capital four years later.
Here are the key takeaways about the Coastal Road project:
- The Coastal Road will be 29.2-km long road and have as many as eight lanes. It will also have two dedicated bus lanes.
- The 15,000-crore road project will also build a tunnel in between Girgaum Chowpatty and Priyadarshini Park, through Malabar Hill. From the Park it will run along the coast and connect to Bandra-Worli sea-link.
- An underpass will be built for Haji Ali. Traffic coming from Tardeo will be directed towards BWSL.
- The first and south phase of the project will establish a link between Princess Street flyover and south end of Bandra-Worli Sea link. Following the completion of this some trouble may arise as Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has asked BMC to buy the sea-link flyover at a high price for incorporating it into the project.
- The final and north phase of the project will run from the north-end of the Bandra-Worli sea-link to Kandivali. Its construction will start after the first phase is over.
- The project will need reclamation of 186-hectare land from which 91 hectares will have to be created as green spaces. There will also be elevated roads and flyovers.

Introducing the South Section of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. Stretching from Princess Street at Marine Drive to the Worli end of Bandra-Worli Sea Link, this 9.98 km road will have 4 lanes on each side with a dedicated lane for BRTS and Ambulance. There will be four interchanges in the south section of the coastal road at Marine Drive, Amarsons, Haji Ali and Worli. A 2.31 km main bridge, along with 13km long Interchange Bridge, the South Section will have a 95 Ha Reclamation and 70 Ha Recreational area with a 20 M wide and 6km long Promenande. 1800 car parking lots at 4 dedicated locations is also a key highlight of this section.

Riding the Coastal Road from Mumbai to Goa for the India Bike Week - On the Ducati Multistrada
This is a relatively unknown road hugging the coast from Mumbai to Goa. It goes past plenty of little fishing villages and communities, has the traveller riding on and off flat bottomed iron ferries that adds to the charm of riding this road and there are such lovely little seafood joints to eat at.
Besides that there are quaint guest houses and hotels right on the beach for an overnight halt.

1. The National Highway Maravanthe
The National Highway (NH17) is one of the most beautiful coastline highway in India. This highway is passes very close from the shoreline is closer then 100 Mtrs.
Maravanthe Coastal Road is located 12 kms from Kundapur, 50 kms north side of Udupi and 105 km north side of Mangalore. This is a scenic beach Road that every tourist visiting Karnataka.
3. Marine Drive Mumbai
Marine Drive stretches to around 4 km along the coast in the city of Mumbai. This C-shaped bay is part of the Arabian Sea.Marine Drive is also known as the Queen’s Necklace.
4. Dhanushkodi beach road
Dhanushkodi Rameshwaram road is a 17.5 km long stretch of road that connects Dhanushkodi, a small coastal town in Tamil Nadu, India, to Rameshwaram, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus.
The road passes through some of the most scenic locations in South India, including the Bay of Bengal on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other side. It is also known for its beautiful bridges and causeways that connect the mainland to the island of Rameshwaram.

Puri-konark Highway,Odisha (NH-203) is One of the most beautiful and scenic Beach ( coastal ) highways in India. The Puri Konark Marine Drive is a 35 km drive joining the religious places Puri and Konark. There are many beach resorts on the Puri Konark Marine Drive.
6. RK Beach Road Visakhapatnam
The R K beach is located on the east coast of Bay of Bengal in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, which is almost 2 to 3 kilometres in the city which has straight road known as beach road.
