-Saving money is slow but you can do it if you set a goal by

Start a dedicated travel fund
-You can potentially create your travel savings bank account and save on a monthly or weekly basis even if it's just $10. Make it fun, habit, natural, painless, and Revel its growth over time.
Additional Tips
-Reduce your utility bills
The average utility bill in the US ranges from $90 to $140 a month. If you reduce 15% off your money by doing fewer loads of laundry and conserving energy, you could add around $225 to your savings, annually.
-Invest in Real Estate or other asset classes so that you can potentially have a passive income that allows you to travel.

Meteora Greece, Six Incredible Monasteries (70 min. in 4K)

During my one week visit in Meteora, I explored all six monasteries. I dedicated one day to each monastery. One day a week, each of the monasteries is closed for tourists, so you need to find out before planning your visit. Meteora is not only amazing monasteries but also beautiful nature and the beautifully situated town of Kastraki and the larger Kalambaka with restaurants and Greek food. There are many trails where you can walk, listen to the birds singing and admire this amazing place. During my stay I tried to record as much as possible to show the beauty of this place. Which of the monasteries makes the greatest impression on you, assess yourself.

Here is link to the short (8 min.) version of the movie:

Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The name means lofty, elevated, and is etymologically related to meteor
As early as the eleventh century, monks occupied the caverns of Meteora. However, monasteries were not built until the fourteenth century, when the monks sought somewhere to hide in the face of an increasing number of Turkish attacks on Greece. At this time, access to the top was via removable ladders or windlass. Nowadays, getting up there is a lot simpler due to steps being carved into the rock during the 1920 s. Of the 24 monasteries, only six (four of men, two of women) are still functioning, with each housing fewer than ten individuals.
Access to the monasteries was originally (and deliberately) difficult, requiring either long ladders latched together or large nets used to haul up both goods and people.
Until the seventeenth century, the primary means of conveying goods and people from these eyries was by means of baskets and ropes.
During World War II the site was bombed. Many art treasures were stolen.

METEORA By Drone | Suspended In Air | GREECE 4K

Soar through the air and view majestic Meteora and its monasteries through the eyes of a bird.

The UNESCO World Heritage site is located midway up Greece, 358km north of Athens and dates back to the fourteenth century when monks summit-ed the strange rocky formations of modern day Kalampaka to seek a life of solitude to practice their religion far from civilization.

This footage was filmed in early June of this year on an early summer morning just as the sun was rising. Filmed completely on a DJI Mavic Zoom in 4k and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

Breathtaking METEORA Greece chill out music video | 4K UHD |

Enjoy impressive rock formations and medieval monasteries in the region of Trikala, just above the town of Kalambaka. Enjoy the landscapes of Thessaly followed by pleasant chillout lounge music.
Meteora literally means 'hovering in the air' and of course brings to mind the word meteor. What created this rare geological phenomenon is one of the mysteries of nature. But as impressive a marvel of nature as these giant rocks are the Orthodox Monasteries on the top of these are a marvel of man and seem just as miraculous and make Meteora one of the most spectacular places to visit in Greece.

METEORA | Greece | 4K ULTRA HD Video by Drone

Meteora is a group of monasteries on the summits of vertical rock formations in Greece. The monasteries are located just north of the small town of Kalabaka.
The name was derived from a Greek contraction meaning “suspended in the air.” Rising high above the Thessalian plain, the sandstone megaliths on which the monasteries were built average 1,000 feet (300 meters) in height, with several reaching 1,800 feet (550 meters). The rock masses were formed some 60 million years ago, their distinctive and varied shapes sculpted over time by earthquakes, rain, and wind.
In a region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these columns of the sky from the 11th century onwards. Twenty-four of these monasteries were built, despite incredible difficulties, at the time of the great revival of the eremetic ideal in the 15th century.

Meteora, Greece - rocks hovering in the sky Aerial 4K UltraHD

This clip about Meteora mountains, Greece - rocks hovering in the sky Ultra High Definition video.

The conglomerate was formed of deposits of stone, sand and mud from streams flowing into a delta at the edge of a lake, over millions of years. About 60 million years ago during the Paleogene period a series of earth movements pushed the seabed upwards, creating a high plateau and causing many vertical fault lines in the thick layer of sandstone. The huge rock pillars were then formed by weathering by water, wind and extremes of temperature on the vertical faults. It is unusual that this conglomerate formation and type of weathering are confined to a relatively localised area within the surrounding mountain formation.

This type of rock formation and weathering process has happened in many other places locally and throughout the world, but what makes Meteora's appearance special is firstly the uniformity of the sedimentary rock constituents deposited over millions of years leaving few signs of vertical layering, and secondly the localised abrupt vertical weathering.

The Best Places to Visit in Greece: Meteora Monasteries 4K(ULTRA HD)

Dive into the divine with our breathtaking 4K aerial journey to the ethereal Meteora Monasteries in Greece. Marvel at the surreal landscapes and the ancient monasteries perched atop towering rocks, where spirituality meets the sky. This short film weaves together the rich history, stunning geography, and the serene beauty of the six active monasteries out of the original twenty-four. Witness the majesty of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover why this heavenly destination has been a beacon of faith and wonder through centuries. Join us in the clouds and experience the sublime beauty of one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth.
The film opens with a brief yet insightful history of the Meteora Monasteries, nestled atop gigantic rock formations that rise majestically from the plains of Thessaly. These monastic retreats date back to the 14th century, originally founded by hermit monks seeking solitude and a closer connection to the Divine. The narration explains how these monasteries were constructed on virtually inaccessible sandstone peaks, serving both as a place of worship and as a sanctuary from the tumultuous world below.

As the film progresses, viewers are treated to awe-inspiring aerial shots captured in 4K resolution, showcasing the spectacular geography of Meteora. The camera glides over the verdant landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the rock pillars that tower into the sky, some reaching heights of over 400 meters (1,312 feet). The narrative delves into the geological marvels of the area, explaining how erosion and earthquakes sculpted these unique formations over millions of years, creating a landscape that seems more akin to a painting than reality.

The heart of the film is dedicated to an intimate exploration of the six monasteries open to visitors today, each presented in turn with its own unique story and spiritual ambiance:

Monastery of Agios Nikolaos: With its captivating frescoes and panoramic views, this monastery is celebrated for its architectural beauty and the serene atmosphere within its walls.

Monastery of Great Meteoron: The largest and oldest of the Meteora monasteries, Great Meteoron stands as a testament to the monastic life, housing priceless manuscripts and Orthodox art that dates back centuries.

Monastery of Rousanou: Dedicated to St. Barbara, this nunnery charms visitors with its intimate scale and stunning frescoes, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of the nuns who reside there.

Monastery of St. Stephan: Accessible without the need to climb steep stairs, this monastery is known for its hospitality and houses an impressive collection of icons and religious relics.

Monastery of Trinity: Famous for its dramatic location and featuring in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, this monastery requires a climb of over 140 steps carved into the rock but rewards with unparalleled vistas.

Monastery of Varlaam: Second in size, Varlaam boasts a grandiose 16th-century church and a museum, displaying artifacts and manuscripts that illuminate the rich history of Meteora.

Throughout the film, the fusion of divine music, hauntingly beautiful visuals, and narrated tales imbues a sense of wonder, inviting viewers to reflect on the intertwining of human faith with the majestic power of nature. Captured with precision in 4K resolution from what seems like alien angles, the film offers an otherworldly perspective on these ancient sanctuaries, as if the viewer is floating alongside the clouds that frequently enshroud the peaks.

This place actually exists?? Meteora Greece!

Meteora is a must see location in Greece. Most people travelling to Greece, myself included, always go to the Islands. We first went to Paros, to experience the Greece island life. However, The most interesting part of the country lies further from the shore.
