Of the four islands only Pitcairn is inhabited. At the time of filming there were only 48 permanent inhabitants. Accordings to the World Factbook Pitcairn is the least populous national jurisdiction in the world.

Dexter Fletcher was only 17 when he and his brother, Steve, headed out to Tahiti to film The Bounty with an all star cast. Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Liam Neeson, Daniel Day Lewis, Laurence Olivier. I caught up with him in London when making Take Me To Pitcairn.
I'm releasing some deleted scenes from Take Me To Pitcairn which didn't make it into the final film but also couldn't resist including Captain Nuts who was the last person to recreate Captain Bligh's famous voyage to celebrate Channel 4's new series Mutiny which starts this week.

Most Isolated Island #shorts #pitcairn

Pitcairn Island, known for the HMS Bounty mutiny, is a remote British Overseas Territory with a unique history, culture, and recent challenges.

Pitcairn Island Paul's Pool

Some of the clearest water I've ever swam in. The highlight of the trip for me. You sit at the entrance and wait for the waves to smash over the rocks and get engulfed in white wash. Towards the end you can see the blow hole where the air comes up through the water.
