COUNTRY 59/100 - Lithuania! We made a day trip from Latvia to visit the Hill of Crosses which has over 200,000 crosses dating back to the 1930's. We purchased a cross to add to the hill at the surprisingly affordable prices, and ended the day with an authentic Lithuanian meal (which turned out to be very unhealthy but delicious :))

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Ecuador - NOT What We Expected!
Is traveling to Ecuador on your Bucket List? It wasn’t for us, but this small South American country completely blew us away. Stepping into the Amazon jungle, visiting one of the world's most active volcanoes (Cotopaxi), swimming in some of the countless waterfalls and hot springs in the Andes mountains, and cruising off the Pacific coastline to witness the yearly Humpback whale migration, it was definitely a trip for the books. We fell in love with the warm and welcoming people of Ecuador, the environmental diversity, and the natural beauty of the land. Ecuador is the perfect destination for travelers looking to get off the beaten path and experience so much of what South America has to offer.

#127 Arriving in Noumea last week tired and cranky, we finally get some much needed sleep in the calm anchorage. We explore a bit of the island capital, but we are not impressed. However we only really have one thing on our mind, Australia. After filling up Merewether with food, water and fuel we head out again. Australia here we come!

A new adventure begins as we set sail for what almost feels like the first time again. We’re jumping off the deep end here and no doubt many will call us cavalier. Because we’re taking a 47-foot NEEL Trimaran, a type of boat we have never sailed and have zero experience on, out to sea on an offshore passage.
Would we have liked a test sail first??? Of course! But it was a quick handover, the weather was fickle, and here we are. But it’s certainly not our first offshore passage and we like a good challenge. And a challenge is exactly what we got!

Mardi Gras 2018 was NOT what we expected! [New Orleans]
What's this Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday all about? How are people celebrating Mardi Gras in 2018? What do you need to know about the parades in New Orleans? What is the meaning of Fat Tuesday?
We braved the crowds for a day to get the answers for you and whipped this video up as quick as possible. While it's not a Mardi Gras 2018 Live Stream, it's pretty close to real-time!

If you don't have time (and we understand, we're all about saving time), here's the BLUF:
- Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans actually start in January - the entire celebration lasts for quite some time
- The biggest parades are the extended weekend before Fat Tuesday
- Parade routes/times are on the web, but prepare for them to be shifted - if a parade starts at 10, you may not see it in your location until 3 hours later (they move slow!)
- Hotels are a bit of a nightmare, and they take crowd control seriously - you will be given a wristband and they will check for it every time you go in - you can't even have friends up in your room without them buying a wristband for $25
- That being said, plan your potty breaks!
- They throw more than just beads - we saw glow sticks, cups, stuffed animals, plungers, etc (it gets cray cray)

The Chechen Republic is a Muslim majority autonomous republic in the North Caucasus region of Russia. Unfortunately it is better known for the conflicts of the 1990's and early 2000's, which earnt Gronzy the title of 'the most destroyed city on earth'. Despite the stigma, and the Foreign Office warnings, the Chechnya of today is much changed from the one that hit the headlines a couple of decades back. We went in to get a look at real life in Chechnya and find out what Russia's most infamous republic is really like.

Manila was not AT ALL what we expected! We spent the day exploring some of the most fascinating historical sites this city is home to. We spent the day walking around the city and going to iconic places like the Rizal park, and the Fort Santiago. We also tried the most famous fast-food restaurant in the Philippines - Jollibee. The 24 hours we spent in Manila were super special, what a nice surprise!

Cappadocia - Not What We Expected ????????
Sometimes you go somewhere and realize it's not like anything you have ever seen before and nothing the pictures could have prepared you for. In this Nadir On The Go vlog, I bring you Cappadocia, which is in Turkey but may as well have been in another planet. 2 days were definitely not nearly enough to see this place and I definitely plan on going back whenever I get the chance again to see a few more of these spots.

Camper Van Night One... Not What We Expected
In Episode II we make it through our first sketchy night in the camper van and then drive to our first adventure of the trip. I surprised Stasia with shark diving on the North Shore, something she is deathly afraid of, and I have wanted to do for over a year now.
At the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020, we rented a 1977 VW camper van on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. We have been wanting to try the van life for a while now and this 6 day adventure is our chance! The trip was full of adventures and I will be posting a new episode every week for the next 5 weeks. This is the first time trying a multi-part series like this, and I can't wait to share it with you :)
