#Jewel #ChangiAirport, commonly known as Jewel, is a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex on the landside of Changi Airport, Singapore. Linked to three of its passenger terminals, the centrepiece is the world's tallest indoor waterfall, named the Rain Vortex, which is surrounded by a terraced forest setting.
#Sentosa is an island resort off Singapore’s southern coast, connected to the city by road, cable car, pedestrian boardwalk and monorail. By Sentosa Station, Tiger Sky Tower has panoramic views that can stretch as far as Indonesia. On the south coast, Palawan Beach is lined with food stalls and bars, and has a suspension bridge to a small offshore island. Palm-lined, crescent-shaped Tanjong Beach is more tranquil.

24 hrs at the world’s BEST airport: ???????? Singapore’s Changi
We’ve flown into and out of Singapore’s legendary Changi Airport several times, but always during the wee hours when most of the magic of the Jewel complex was closed for the night. But that streak ends today because we’re spending the next 24 hours next to the best planet and visiting the world’s largest indoor waterfall, hiking an indoor trail that winds through a jungle of over 2,000 trees, tracking down some Michelin starred ramen, and burning some energy on the 5-story-high suspended trampoline. All while surrounded by an unparalleled collection on the world’s best retail and all without ever stepping foot outside of the building. We’re even gonna sleep just steps from the airline ticketing counter, so it really is a full day at the airport and the clock starts now.

INSIDE SINGAPORE CHANGI Airport - World´s Best Airport - Our Favorite Airport
We are at Singapore Changi Airport. Join us for this Airport Tour where we visit both the Check-in Area and main departure area of Changi Airport, Singapore. Changi Airport has been voted as the World´s Best Airport by Skytrax since 2012 and it is also our favorite airport to arrive at, depart from or be in transit at when we travel.
This airport tour begins at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 where we arrive by taxi from Singapore. We make our way into the Terminal 3 Check-in area and give the viewer a first hand look at what the inside of Changi Airport looks like. We then visit the famous Singapore Airport Slide located on level 1 in Terminal 3. The slide is Singapore´s tallest and is is also the world´s tallest slide in an airport. After spending time looking at shops and displays in the Terminal 3 Check-in area we make our way to the Skytrain which is a driver-less train connecting Changi Airports Terminal 3 and Terminal 1. At Terminal 1 viewers also get a view of the Check-in area of Singapore Changi Airport´s Terminal 1. The main attraction in Terminal 1 is the moving Kinetic Rain sculpture. After viewing Terminal 1 and the Kinetic Rain sculpture we make our way back to Terminal 3 with the Skytrain. Our Check-in Counter opens and we them make our way through immigration into the main Singapore Changi Departure Hall / Singapore Changi Transit area. We then proceed to take a tour of the transit area looking at the airports Duty Free Shops, Restaurants and Brand Name luxury goods shops. We were very impressed to see that Singapore Airport had it´s own Hard Rock Cafe located within the Transit area, good news for Hard Rock Cafe fans. We are just wondering what it was called, The Hard Rock Cafe Changi Airport perhaps? Luckily we also had time to visit the Singapore Changi Airport Butterfly Garden which is the world´s first Butterfly Garden located in an airport. We then proceeded to the Airport Lounge called the Ambassador Transit Lounge. This Airport lounge is a Pay-Per-Use lounge and access is available to all passengers at a fee regardless as to whether they are flying First Class, Business Class or Economy Class..
Unfortunately owing to limited time airside at Singapore Changi Airport we were unable to visit many of the attractions and activities available to passengers / travelers at this airport such as the Enchanted Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Koi Pond (Terminal 3 Transit area), Lily Pad Garden (Terminal 1 Transit area), Orchid Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Social Tree (Terminal 1 Transit area), Sunflower Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Movie Theatre (Terminal 3 Transit area), Cactus Garden (Terminal 1 Transit area), Entertainment Deck (Terminal 2 Transit area), Swimming Pool (Terminal 1 Transit area), Peranakan Exhibition & Porcelain of Asia Exhibition (Terminal 2 Transit area) and we would also like to have seen the Aviation Gallery in the Public area in Terminal 3.

Transfer between terminals
Near the Check-in Hall you can find the SykTrain connections to T2 & T3 respectively. It takes no more than 4 minutes to transfer to either T2 or T3 terminal. Opening hours are from 5.00 am to 2.30 am.
While SkyTrain is closed due to maintenance works, you can use the free bus service, which is located at the second level of Departure Check-in Level Door 5. Opening hours are from 2.30 am to 5.00 am. Departure time is of 15 minutes.
To transfer to Changi Terminal 4, passengers first needs to get to Terminal 2 by the SkyTrain and then board the shutte bus at the pick up location (Arrivals Hall Door 1). Service hours: 24/7. Departures are done each 15-20 minutes.
Levels
Changi Terminal 1 has 29 air bridges, 5 of them for large aircraft. The building is composed by Arrivals Level, Departure Check in-Hall, Departure transit lounge level 2 & 3 and Airline lounges:
- Arrivals level: With the following amenities and services: Baggage belts 19-16 and 20-23, currency exchanges (2), visitor centre and information counter.
- Departure Check-in Hall: There are the check-in rows 8-1 and 9-14, Premier Check-in area and departure immigration points (2).
- Departure Transit Lounge Level 2: There are the duty free shopping, departure immigration, information counter, as well as the access to C & D gates and the SkyTrain connections to A, B, F, & E gates on T2 & T3.
- Departure Transit Lounge Level 3: You can find here the entertainment lounge, the airline lounges, a business centre and also a cactus garden to relax.

Singapore Changi Airport, located in the Changi district at the eastern end of Singapore, is a major international airport and one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia. It’s approximately 24 kilometres (15 miles) east from Singapore’s Downtown Core. The airport comprises four terminals and Jewel Changi, a ten-storey lifestyle hub that seamlessly links to Terminals 1, 2, and 3. More than 100 airlines operate from the airport, with nonstop or direct flights to destinations in Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. It has been rated as the “World’s Best Airport” by Skytrax a dozen times and was the first airport in the world to hold the accolade for eight consecutive years. In 2019, Changi Airport served 68.3 million passengers, making it the 18th busiest airport in the world. It is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM
Jewel was officially opened on 18th of October in the year 2019 by Singapore Prime Minister Mr. Lee Hsien Loong.
The HSBC Rain Vortex At Singapore Jewel Changi is the World's Largest Indoor Fountain.
The entire project costed a whopping $1.7 billion Singapore dollars.
The waterfall with an oculus in the roof , is a huge fall of 40 metres flowing down to the basement2.
From the pool at Level-1 of the Forest Valley, the water flows all the way down to a two-storey circular acrylic water-wall and provide magnificent view for visitors at Basement 1 & 2.
Recirculating rainwater is used from the roof to free fall through a round hole.
A mesmerising scene not to be missed when you are at Singapore Changi Airport.
The design of the HSBC Rain Vortex was inspired by the tropical rains in Singapore and was conceptualised by Safdie Architects and created by design consultant WET who is best known for creating the renowned Dubai Fountain.
There are various vantage points for visitors to bask in its full glory.

We are just wondering what it was called, The Hard Rock Cafe Changi Airport perhaps? Luckily we also had time to visit the Singapore Changi Airport Butterfly Garden which is the world´s first Butterfly Garden located in an airport. We then proceeded to the Airport Lounge called the Ambassador Transit Lounge. This Airport lounge is a Pay-Per-Use lounge and access is available to all passengers at a fee regardless as to whether they are flying First Class, Business Class or Economy Class..
Unfortunately owing to limited time airside at Singapore Changi Airport we were unable to visit many of the attractions and activities available to passengers / travelers at this airport such as the Enchanted Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Koi Pond (Terminal 3 Transit area), Lily Pad Garden (Terminal 1 Transit area), Orchid Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Social Tree (Terminal 1 Transit area), Sunflower Garden (Terminal 2 Transit area), Movie Theatre (Terminal 3 Transit area), Cactus Garden (Terminal 1 Transit area), Entertainment Deck (Terminal 2 Transit area), Swimming Pool (Terminal 1 Transit area), Peranakan Exhibition & Porcelain of Asia Exhibition (Terminal 2 Transit area) and we would also like to have seen the Aviation Gallery in the Public area in Terminal 3.
