Rio Celeste ???????? MOST Famous Waterfall in Costa Rica

Rio Celeste Waterfall is world famous for its bright blue water. The mixture of the volcanic minerals from multiple river sources combine to form the unique and visually stunning blue color. Even though this hike gets very crowded, you can usually get there early and avoid the masses. We explored the trail on a rainy, overcast day so the color of the river was not at its brightest.

Exploring Costa Rica - RIO CELESTE | Discover the Secret of the Bluest Waterfall in Costa Rica!!

Rio Celeste is the most popular waterfall in Costa Rica. Located in the North Part of the Country in Parque National Volcan Tenorio.

We are super excited to take you in this beautiful hike that lead to the Waterfall. We did lots of research and read numerous amazing review about Rio Celeste and we are 100% confident you'll love it too.

We have seen many waterfall and this is definitely one of the most beautiful (unfortunately it's not possible to swim in it) with one of the most scenic staircase.

The rest of the hike, in the National Park, is also really exciting with few other pools, hot springs and suspended bridges.

One tip we ca share is to drive 1km down the road, outside the National Park, where it's possible to swim and chill in the water after the hike.

Thanks for watching.

TRANSCRIPT:

Hey guys, this is Samantha and welcome to another Mytanfeet video. in this video We are going to do part 1 of day trips in Guanacaste and these are going to be the best day trips from Tamarindo, Playas del Coco or any of the neighboring beaches. We have a lot to share with you so let's go.

Number one on our list is Rio Celeste, the sky blue river inside Tenorio Volcano National Park. Rio Celeste is the perfect day trip for hiking and nature lovers, as you will be trekking through the lush rainforest to see the waterfall and sky blue river. The entire trail is around 6 kilometers or 3.5 miles and is a must see in Costa Rica.

The next best day trip in Guanacaste is Diamante Eco Adventure Park. This adventure park is excellent for families as they have an animal sanctuary with daily sloth feeding presentations, a traditional house for a cultural experience of chocolate, coffee and sugar cane and one of the most exciting ziplining tours in the country. Their 1.3 kilometer oceanview zipline is a must do in Costa Rica for adrenaline junkies. They also offer an excellent lunch buffet.

Next is one of our most highly recommended day trips from Playas del Coco or Tamarindo, Palo Verde National Park. The Palo Verde day trip consists of a safari boat tour down the Tempisque River to see wildlife such as iguanas, bats, monkeys, crocodiles and river birds. It doesn't require any strenuous activity so Palo Verde is the perfect day trip in Guanacaste for those who are visiting with seniors or young kids as you will be riding a covered motorized riverboat and it takes about half a day so you can be back at your hotel by mid afternoon. Palo Verde offers a highly interesting and educational wildlife watching experience for all visitors.

The next day trip in Guanacaste is for the surfers, a surf trip to Witch's Rock. There are a ton of surfing beaches in Guanacaste including Tamarindo but for those looking for the ultimate surf experience, a Witch's Rock surf trip is a must. You'll boat about an hour from Playas del Coco to the iconic surf spot inside Santa Rosa National Park and on heavy days with a swell, waves can get up to 6 feet or more, ideal for those dreaming of getting barrelled in Costa Rica. On normal days, waves are absolutely perfect for longboarding and shortboarding, with long, open and glassy A-frame waves.

The last day trip in this video is the La Leona waterfall hike. This waterfall hike is only 30 minutes from Liberia and you'll be hiking in the tropical dry forest, swimming in a beautiful blue river and climbing through caves and canyons to get to a hidden cave waterfall. The La Leona waterfall hike is definitely for those looking for a memorable outdoor activity and after the fun hike, you can relax in their natural blue river pools.

I hope you guys enjoyed the video and if you're interested in any of these activities, we have links to our posts in the description below for more details and you can contact us if you want to book any of these tours. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one.

The 9 Best Places To Visit In Costa Rica | Rio Celeste, Volcán Arenal, Manuel Antonio...

Hi!

This is a short video of our trip through Costa Rica. Just like in my last video on Nicaragua, there is so much beauty here that you can't possibly visit everything. These are just the main places that we really wanted to see.

About the trip: We crossed the border from Nicaragua in Peñas Blancas and ended up in Liberia. From there we rented a car and drove to all these magnificent places until we reached Puerto Viejo de Talamanca - the end of our Costa Rica trip - before crossing the border in Sixaola to enter Panama.

I hope you enjoy my video! :) ...and if you do, please feel free to like the video and subscribe!

La Fortuna, Costa Rica Budget Travel Vlog | Arenal Volcano, Rio Celeste, Hot Springs

La Fortuna offers so much variety when it comes to things to do and see in Costa Rica! We spent four days in La Fortuna and enjoyed every minute of it, especially because everything was so affordable! The local food was so flavorful and being immersed in such lush nature was absolutely breath-taking. If you're lucky, you might catch a view of the Arenal Volcano when it's not hiding behind the clouds. We were able to see the sunset over the volcano and it was a sight like no other! La Fortuna is amazing overall. Don't get us started on the waterfalls and the sky blue waters - watch for yourself! If you enjoy this video, please be sure to SUBSCRIBE for future content; we greatly appreciate it!

The Hertz/Firefly Car Rental in San Jose Costa Rica provided the WORST customer service we have ever experienced from a car rental place (They gave away the automatic car we reserved, only gave us an option to drive a manual car which we were unable to do, and even if we were able to drive manual they increased the daily rental price 10-fold).

We recommend you look elsewhere for a car rental ( or check out our truly AMAZING Uber driver and friend named ALEJANDRO who drove us all over Costa Rica.

Watch this video to see how we spent 4 days in Costa Rica for $439/pp. Prices can of course vary depending on dates, and the number of people you travel with. This is just to give you an idea!

Only a week in Guanacaste Costa Rica what should I see

Only a week in Guanacaste Costa Rica what should I see?

What to see on your trip to the western side of Costa Rica?

After landing at Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, there is no shortage of variety for those seeking relaxation, adventure, and every preference in between. Careful planning enables you to cover a lot of ground in the space of one week.

Costa Rica’s northernmost Pacific coast is bordered by Santa Rosa National Park, just a short drive north of Liberia. It is one of the world’s most important protected tropical dry forest habitats and also a storied battleground site.

Not far northeast of Santa Rosa is Guanacaste National Park, within the same protected dry forest and wildlife corridor connecting with Rincón de la Vieja National Park to the southeast. Getting to the park northbound from Liberia takes about 35 minutes.

Volcano views are on offer in this region of the country too, including Rincón de la Vieja, which recently let off a little steam.

In the same national park vicinity, you can choose favorite activity packages from bathing in waterfall pools,

One of the notable attractions along Rio Celeste is the Tenideros, where two rivers with different mineral compositions converge, resulting in the mesmerizing blue coloration of the water. Costa Rica is a travel destination for so many people and after spending time there it’s easy to see why. But, there is also soooo much to do and see it can be overwhelming. After five trips there I can happily say I’ve seen a lot of the country, and have visited waterfalls all over the country so here is a breakdown of waterfalls to add to your itinerary depending on what region(s) you’ll be in.

Liberia
-Llanos del Cortez
-Catarata Oropendula
-La Cangreja in Rincón de la Vieja National Park

Pacific Coast
-Nauyaca Waterfall (Dominical)
-Uvita waterfall

North of San Jose
