Chișinău/Moldova:
Chișinău also known formerly as Kishinev, is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Moldova. The city is Moldova's main industrial and commercial center, and is located in the middle of the country, on the river Bîc. According to the preliminary results of the 2014 census, the city of Chișinău is home to 492,894 residents. The estimated number of resident population in the Municipality of Chișinău (which includes other nearby communities), as of 1 January 2015, is 736,100.Chișinău is the most economically prosperous locality in Moldova and its largest transportation hub.
Chișinău is located on the river Bâc, a tributary of the Dniester, at 47°0′N 28°55′E, with an area of 120 square kilometres (46 sq mi). The municipality comprises 635 square kilometres (245 sq mi).
The city lies in central Moldova and is surrounded by a relatively level landscape with very fertile ground. Chișinău is governed by the City Council and the City Mayor (Romanian: Primar), both elected once every four years. The current mayor is Dorin Chirtoacă.His predecessor was Serafim Urechean. Under the Moldovan constitution, Urechean — elected to parliament in 2005 — was unable to hold an additional post to that of an MP. The Democratic Moldova Bloc leader subsequently accepted his mandate and in April resigned from his former position. During his 11-year term, Urechean committed himself to the restoration of the church tower of the Catedrala Nașterea Domnului and improvements in public transport.
The current mayor, Dorin Chirtoacă from the Liberal party, took office after elections in June 2007. Chirtoacă won reelections in June 2011, and June 2015.
Local governmentThe municipality in its totality elects a mayor and a local council, which then name five pretors, one for each sector. They deal more locally with administrative matters. Each sector claims a part of the city and several suburbs:

The second most popular form of domestic transportation within Moldova is via railways. The total length of the network managed by Moldovan Railway CFM (as of 2009) is 1,232 kilometers (766 miles). The entire network is single track and is not electrified. The central hub of all railways is Chișinău Central Railway Station. There is another smaller railway station - Revaca located on the city's ends.Chișinău Railway Station has an international railway terminal with connections to Bucharest, Kiev, Minsk, Odessa, Moscow, Samara, Varna and St. Petersburg. Due to the simmering conflict between Moldova and the unrecognised Transnistria republic the rail traffic towards Ukraine is occasionally stopped.Wikipedia

My second day in the capital of Moldova brought me to the vibrant Piața Centrală (Central Market), a bustling maze of vendors bursting at the seams with fresh honey, cheese, local delicacies, fruits, vegetables, meats, and every household good under the sun. Wandering this market is an adventure in itself; this is Moldovan culture, up close and personal, with the bounty of the entire country at your fingertips.
The market is as vibrant and colorful as an African or southeast Asian market, and you'd be hard-pressed to run out of things to do here. Grab a glass of cold-as-ice Kvass (bread soda), scarf down a local pastry, and dive right into the web of consumerist chaos that you'll encounter at Chisinau's largest market. This was the highlight of my trip to Moldova, and you'll quickly see why...

We set out to explore Chișinău the capital city of Moldova ????????
Moldova doesn't have the best reputation, it is one of the poorest and least visited countries in all of Europe however if you only visited the capital city Chișinău you wouldn't think those things were true.
From our first impressions things are pretty fancy and modern in the center of the city, there's lots of fancy places to eat and drink too, I'd even say its similar to pretty much every other big city in Europe - not my thing atall
Now the markets on the other hand well let me tell you Chișinău has the biggest, craziest and most impressive markets we've seen in ALL of Europe.
We spent all day wandering around the gigantic maze of people selling everything under the sun.
We also take a walk around some other areas of the city including an incredible outdoor flea market out of town where on the way we met a lovely lady helping out street puppies aswell as visiting the classic Piana Vyshnia cherry wine bar.

I am still touring beautiful Chisinau. And this time I came to explore Central Market of Chisinau , where everything is so cheap and affordable (compare to the Israeli prices).

You can find almost everything in market, literarily from A to Z.
I even had an opportunity to try their local pickles. Very delicious!

Chisinau ???????? Market Piața Centrală Tour
Just like any other capital, Chisinau has no shortage of shopping venues. The Central Market is the largest and busiest agri-food market in the city, if not the whole country. It covers an area of 3.5 hectares occupying 2x2 city blocks between Armeneasca and Tighina Streets, Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Mitropolit Varlaam Street.
Originally called New Bazaar upon establishment in 1825, the market stood out for its elegant wooden architecture. Also added to the appeal, especially among vendors, the initial tax-free policy in force for almost 80 years. In 1886-1887, following the municipal order, the entire market was redone in stone. In 1941, amid the looming occupation by the Nazis, the retreating Soviet troops blasted the whole place, lest it fell into the enemy's hands. After the war, the market was restored together with the rest of the city, and was subsequently renamed Central Market.
Here you can find absolutely everything, from suitcases to electronics, clothing, jewelry, household goods and appliances, plus the famous Bucuria-made sweets, cookies and desserts sold at the outer stalls. Further inward you will be delighted by the beautiful displays of a tremendous variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meats, fish, dried fruits, grains, and the locally-made sheep and goat cheeses. Good and cheap street food and snacks are also in rich supply.
Particularly noteworthy are the traditional Moldovan items, like the woven baskets, căciuli (handmade sheepskin hats), and other curious things.
Why you should visit:
If asked “what can I see and do to experience local tradition?” – Piata Centrala is that place in Chisinau. The locals come here to buy their stuff, so it must be good.
For those with a taste for open-air marketplaces and keen to feel the “real life” in Chisinau, this place is a must! The atmosphere is crowded, noisy and old world.

Lost In The Central Market (Piata Centrala) In Chisinau, Moldova
I was told the mashrutka (minibus) from Chisinau to Tiraspol, Transnistria would be leaving somewhere around Piatra Central. I figured it would help to scout out the area the day before, just to figure out where the hell I needed to be.
I found plenty of minibuses, but not the one I needed. Fortunately, the grimy, exciting beauty of Chisinau's Central Plaza was entertaining.

The most crowded place in Chisinau is undoubtedly the Central Market, where you can find from stockings to exotic fruits that are sold alongside one another.
People sell directly on the street or in poorly furnished booths. Conditions are very bad for sellers but the government is planning a lot of improvements for the next years.
However, it is the place where tens of thousands of people in Chisinau shop.
The Central Market stretches over an area of three hectares and a half. Is the biggest we seen till now in this part of the world. There are over 700 booths and over 4,000 places for sale.
Chisinau thought is a beautiful city.
