in this video we travel from the cruise port to Cane Garden Bay Beach. We check out what snorkeling at the beach is like.
Cane garden Bay is located on the northern side of the island of Tortola. Many people compare it to magens Bay in St. Thomas, but I personally thought it was really different. If you want to see Magens Bay please see my video below.
Note: We were not charged for the loungers but I think that is because we were buying stuff at the bar.

Cane Garden Bay beach - Tortola (British Virgin Islands)
Cane Garden Bay beach, at the island of Tortola (British Virgin Islands) is probably one of the best urbanised beaches of the caribbean.
At only 15 minutes by car from Road Town, this beach is a perfect place to enjoy the caribbean travel spirit and the wonderful climate of the holidays in the tropic.
The beach has a large number of services such as bars, restaurants, sun loungers rental, etc ...

A day in Cane Garden Bay Beach, Tortola
Centrally located on Tortola's north side, this is probably the busiest beach since its beauty is often compared to Magen's Bay on St. Thomas.
The centre of activity in the BVI is on Tortola and the centre of activity on Tortola is Cane Garden Bay. You'll spend the day at this north-western beach swimming in the turquoise water, renting a boat or kayak, snorkelling around the beach's western edge and enjoying the great food

Our visit to Road Town on the beautiful island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands ????
Road Town in the British Virgin Islands was a port of call on our Caribbean cruise aboard the MSC Seaview. Lots of cruise lines other than @msccruises stop in Tortola.
We actually had 2 stops in Road Town. On the first one, we did a cruise excursion which took us on a tour of the island of Tortola and to Cane Garden Bay Beach. On the second visit, we spent some time exploring Road Town.
Road Town is the capital of the British Virgin Islands and is the main port on the island of Tortola. Most cruise ships visiting the islands dock here. The cruise port is called Tortola Pier Park and there's lots of great shops and restaurants.
Tortola Pier Park leads you straight out into downtown Road Town. It's a small enough city so it's easy to explore on foot. The locals are friendly and they won't bother you trying to sell you things like in other ports.
Our excursion took us around the island of Tortola taking in views of the surrounding islands. We spent a few hours at Cane Garden Bay Beach which boasts one of the finest beaches in the Caribbean. The picturesque bay has restaurants and bars dotted along the beach. It's the perfect location to watch the sunset over the Caribbean.
Road Town is a small enough but there are some sights if you want to have a look around. Old Government House is a museum which gives some great history of the island and the role of the British Virgin Islands as a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean.
The JR O'Neal Botanical gardens are small but quite beautiful. The 1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works tell the history of sugar production on the island however the museum was closed because of hurricane damage when we visited.
I enjoyed walking around Road Town and taking in the atmosphere. It's a quaint city and the people are friendly. There's not a whole lot in the way of landmarks and attractions but it's worth seeing. Further afield in the British Virgin Islands, there's beaches, rainforests and the other islands to explore. ????️

Exploring Tortola, British Virgin Islands | Top 3 Places to Visit
Come along with us as we spend the day exploring our 3 favorite places on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Tortola, the entrance to the British Virgin Islands, has gorgeous white-sand beaches, incredible restaurants along the water, and some of the best beach bars in the Caribbean.
The three places we visited were:

- Smuggler's Cove
- Cane Garden
We had dinner in Road Town at a fantastic Italian restaurant, Capriccio di Mare!

We made a stop at Cane Garden Bay for the afternoon to enjoy the beaches and went to dinner at Myetts in the evening and it was worth the stop!

Come join us, Mel & Caroline aka the TravelFlirts as start our fun packed 7 day southern Caribbean cruise on board the NCL VIVA! This time we are not alone, 29 friends are joining in the FUN! We sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico stopping at Tortola BVI, St. John's Antigua, Bridgetown Barbados, Castries St. Lucia, Philipsburg St. Maarten, Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas & then back to San Juan! Phew!! What a journey!!
In this episode, we are super excited as we wake up to the most amazing views from our balcony as we near Tortola in the BVI. It's Sarah's birthday & we have plans to head to the beautiful CANE GARDEN BAY!
First we hit up Hudson's for a birthday breakfast & then meet up with the rest of the gang & grab a taxi van from the port & drive the 20mins to Cane garden bay.
We had the best day, swimming, eating & partaking of a cold beverage!
Back on board, having freshened up we headed to dinner. Another special dinner at Onda by Scarpetta. We were a large group & they handled it without issues. It was fabulous!!
Late & somewhat tired...we called it a night...super excited for St. John's Antigua in the morning...
