Cameron Highlands situated in Pahang state, Malaysia. It is popular destination for Malaysians and tourists. The temperature around 15 - 19 Celcius making it a great place for vacation. This is a recommendation for you if you have limited time to visit Cameron Highlands. We traveling via car from Kuala Lumpur.

In today's adventure we show you all the top things to do in the Cameron highlands, starting off touring the tea plantations we head for the magical mossy forest which separates two different states in Malaysia, even finding a secret trail which leads to some undiscovered areas. Next we hit a bee farm to see bees in action, after which we venture to one of the many strawberry farms. The final stop being afternoon tea at the number one rated place in the Cameron Highlands, Jim thompson's tea room at the Highlands Resort, an incredible afternoon tea, both delicious and filling and all for only 40 ringitt. All of todays activities apart from the afternoon tea are completely free!! Demonstrating once again that you can travel more for less!

Welcome to the Cameron Highlands, better known as the backbone of Malaysia! It’s a mountain range that runs up the center of mainland Malaysia. People come here to experience the great outdoors and escape city life.
Things you can do here include visiting tea plantations, local farms, by local honey and visit the mosey forest. The three towns of the Cameron Highlands are, Brinchang, Tanah Rata and Ringlet. Visitors have a great selection of hotels and restaurants to choose from. I recommend taking two full days to experience the Cameron Highlands.
During our first day we took a half day tour with EcoCameron. Our day starts a tea plantation, from there we head to the mosey forest, and lastly a tea factory. We visited the highest mountain in the Cameron Highlands, which also has the highest road in the Malaysia.
The mosey forest is the smallest and the most complex ecosystem in the rainforest. It’s confined to only areas that are 2000 meters high. This is the most accessible mosey forest in the country.
Boh tea factory was built in 1945 and is the oldest tea factory in the Cameron Highlands. We tried a few delicious teas and shopped for our favorites! The views from the tea centre are beautiful!
Next up we visit a strawberry far. Many of these strawberry farms allow visitors to pick their own strawberries. It cost around 10 USD for half kilo of strawberries. It was hard for us to finish these strawberries in those two days.
Something fun to do in the Cameron Highlands and it plan a visit to a local bee farm. It will give you the chance to see different species of bee and learn the inner working of a hive. You will also get to sample and buy some honey to take back home with you. Most of the bee farms here are free to enter.
We head to Uncle Chows restaurant for lunch. They serve traditional authentic Malaysian. For me the most delicious dish was the curry laksa. It is to die for!! The reason why Malaysian food is so good is because it’s a mix of Malaysian, Indian and Chinese cuisine.

Emerald tea plantations unfurl across Malaysia's largest hill-station area. Temperatures in these 1300m to 1829m heights rarely top 30°C, inspiring convoys of weekenders to enjoy tea and strawberries in the restorative climate. Though technically in Pahang, the highlands are accessed from Perak.
The Cameron Highlands encompass a string of townships, including (north to south) Kampung Raja, Tringkap, Brinchang, Tanah Rata and Ringlet. Named after explorer Sir William Cameron, who mapped the area in 1885, the highlands were developed during the British colonial period. Gardens, bungalows and a golf course sprang up during the 1930s, cementing the highlands' reputation as a refuge for heat-addled Brits to mop their brows.
Tourism is big business, so views are occasionally blighted by building sites for yet another megaresort; Brinchang in particular felt like a construction site when we last visited. But between trekking and genteel tea culture, there is serenity amid the touristic hubbub.

One day in Cameron Highlands TRAVEL VLOG - what to see
WE’RE BACK! Sorry for the delay (it’s explained in the vlog) but we’re back uploading videos again!
In today’s vlog we do a half-day tour of the Cameron Highlands with Cameron Tours. We only spent one day in Cameron highlands as we managed to see most of the attractions in one day. We visited tea plantations, strawberry farms, mount brinchang and the mossy forests. It was all incredible! We also met some awesome people and generally had a great time.
Our guide was fantastic, I can’t remember his name but if you book a half-day tour with Cameron Tours, I hope you get this guy, he’s great.The tour costs 50 RM per person for a half-day, including transport and everything we did (except the strawberry farm) so it’s definitely worth it.
After the Cameron Highlands we continue north through Malaysia (next stop Penang), then onto Vietnam and who knows where else after that! We’ll be vlogging it all to share with you, so be sure to subscribe to join us on the journey.
Vlogs are uploaded three times a week. Tuesday, Fridays and Sundays (usually)! This can vary a little from time to time as we never know when we’ll have good enough WiFi to upload (backpacker life eh?) but we’ll try our best to be punctual!

Top best places to visit in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
Cameron Highlands is located amidst the mountain range, high above the sweltering plains of the Malaysian Peninsula.
Cameron Highlands is Malaysia’s best-known and Largest Hill Resort.
It offers a salubrious climate with daily temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius.
This is the place where you can rest and enjoy the nature.
There are many attractions you don’t experience every day because they are hard to find in the cities.
For example Honey Bee Farms.
You can see bees in work and learn about products they make.
Or Butterfly Farms. There you can spot, of course, a lot of butterflies,
But also many other species.
Another attraction are Flower Nurseries and Rose Valleys.
Cameron Highlands is a leading producer of flowers in Malaysia.
Be prepared for a lovely sight of extraordinary flowers...
And not only that.
Probably the best attraction in the region is the largest Tea Plantations in Southeast Asia overlooking an amazing landscape.
There are also a couple temples such as:
Sam Poh a Chinese Buddhist temple and a meditation center for the monks.
Or a colorful and vivid Hindu temple Sri Thendayuthapani Swami.
Many people are coming here to do some trekking.
You can choose between not so very difficult Path 10,
And get on top of Gunung Jasar for a nice view,
Or you can take a more difficult Path 1 through the Mossy Forest,
To reach the peak of Gunung Binchang at 2000 meters above sea level and get an even better view.
