Belize Cave Tubing Excursion Norwegian Cruise Line NCL Carnival Royal Caribbean - Chukka Butts Up
Belize Cave Tubing Excursion on Norwegian Cruise Line NCL. This Excursion was run by Chukka.com and it was fantastic. Other cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Princess may use Chukka for this excursion or one of the other tour companies like Butts Up. The location is about 1.25 hours from the cruise port in Belize City. We went by tour bus on a scenic drive through the country and jungle. After a 30 min walk you get to enjoy a breathtaking tube ride through the mountain on a river. It was wonderful. Our excursion also included lunch. There were also options to add zip lining to this excursion.

Great caving experience between San Ignacio & Belize City.
Explore the Mayan Underworld of Xbalba and throw in some river and cave tubing as well.
This tour can be a half day or combined with Xunantunich as a full day tour.

We spent a day out in the Mayan jungle ziplining through the canopy and then headed into the Mayan underworld- Xibalba as we went cave tubing in Belize. We encountered a huge colony of bats, jumped off of things, and had a great time out in the Belizean jungle.

Cave Tubing in Belize! January 2023
This was an all-day excursion at the Belize City stop of our week-long cruise aboard the Ruby Princess. There was a fair bit of travel to get from the ship to Jaguar Paw, where we did the activities (Cave Tubing and then Zip-Lining). From the ship, we first boarded a 50-seater tender for 30 minutes to get to land and Belize City, then a coach for 45 minutes more to get to the activity center in the jungle (Jaguar Paw), then at Jaguar Paw we got on an old school bus for 2 minutes (which just climbed a hill).
The waters around Belize are very shallow - the Ruby was in 35 feet of water apparently even though she was moored up some miles from shore! The high winds meant the ride on the tender to land was very choppy too.
The coach ride was interesting we had a guide that kept us entertained the entire way. The old school bus was pretty rough in the back but brief, fortunately!
Once there, we rented shoes and changed into swimsuits. Daisy and I had wet-suit shorts over the top in anticipation of the cold water in the cave (and it was cold!)
The ride in the cave was with another guide, who tied our tubes together in our group of 10 or so and basically towed us into the cave, talking to us on the way. We got out of our tubes once we were all the way inside the cave and walked about a little, lead by our guide who showed us some interesting rock formations, a cave spider and some bats!
We then flopped back into our tubes and our guide towed us back out. We had a chance just before we got out of the water to go for an optional swim in the cold waters, which I did! I was very glad of the shorty wetsuit I had put on for this (I hate cold). Others were fine in their swimsuits and most didn't get out of their tubes, using their hands to get to the other side of the 40ft deep pool.
We then climbed out, returned out tubes and got changed out of wet swimwear. We zip-lined before having a very late lunch before heading back; not shown here. The video of us zip-lining is here:

In this episode, we're in Belize... and we're headed out on a cave tubing adventure booked independently through Butts Up! Join us as we hop on a bus for about an hour ride out to the caves, hike through the rainforest for about half an hour (but you don't have to carry a tube!), hop on a tube for the most scenic lazy river ever, and even get a free booty massage or three!! :P
We're sailing out of New Orleans on a double cruise adventure! This time, we're on a 7-day Western Caribbean loop aboard the Carnival Glory headed to Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel. We sailed from September 29 through October 6, 2019 on this second leg of our grand back-to-back cruising adventures!

We used Cave-Tubing.com (Butts Up!) which is a Belize tour company that specializes in cave tubing excursions for cruise ship passengers (Not sponsored). We paid $50 per person. In central Belize, you can float down rivers through several caves. We arranged this trip through Table Rock Jungle Lodge where we were staying. In this video, we get off in #belize . We venture out with #ButtsUp to explore the caves in Belize! We had a great time, our tour guide was awesome. From exploring underground caves, to rushing down the river in tubes.. This was a time that we wont forget! But, after, thats when things took a wild turn. We were over an HOUR late past the last tender. Thankfully, a lot of other passengers were late too, so therefore we ended back up on the ship. Guests driving themselves to our facility need to contact us in advance, so we make arrangements for your arrival.
Kids are welcome to participate in Mean and Dangerous Adventures Belize cave tubing. Kids need to be 5 years old or 40 inches tall to participate in Mean and Dangerous Adventures Belize cave tubing.
Guests staying in Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, and San Pedro need to board one of the early water taxi or flights to Belize City. When you arrive in Belize City one of our representatives will meet you with a sign that reads your name.
Safety: Cave tubing in Belize is safe. Safety is our #1 priority. To secure each group, the group is dived in groups of 8 whilst keeping the groups together. Kids are taken special care of. Depending on the group size, we assign a tour guide to the kids to ensure their safety.
For Cave Tubing in Belize Wear: swim suites or shorts, bug spray, water shoes, and bring along an extra change of clothes.
Mean and Dangerous Adventures Belize Cave Tubing is located at mile 37 on the George Price Highway in Frank Eddy Village.
Self Drive To Mean and Dangerous Adventures Belize Cave Tubing: Every group driving themselves need to contact us in advance, allowing us to prepare for your arrival. After you have contacted us we will send you GPS coordinates that will direct you to our meeting point. This is for safety reasons. We don't want you to get lost in the rainforest. USD$60.00 per/ person with lunch for groups driving themselves to our location.
Guests staying on the mainland are picked up from their hotels at 8:00 am

Belize Cave Tubing with Lunch Cave Tubing Adventure: Experience the best of Belize’s cave tubing at a private location, Jaguar Paw Nature Adventure Outpost, located in the middle of the rainforest at the Nohoch Cheʼen Reserve. Your experienced guide will help you spot various ancient cave formations while you float on the Caves Branch river, which flows through the network of limestone caves protected through the reserve.
Scenic Bus Ride: Get to see some city highlights and scenic countryside on the way to the private location.

Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 6 years. Maximum weight – 275 lbs. Minimum height – 40 in. For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with neck, hip or knee injuries and seizure, heart or respiratory conditions may not participate on this excursion. Must wear closed-toe footwear during cave tubing activities.
What to Bring: Beach towel, closed-toe shoes, cash or credit/debit card for locker rental, water shoes and other purchases.
