???????? What to do in Aruba! ???? - Aruba Cruise Port Tour

We get lots of questions about what to expect at the Aruba cruise port. To help you plan your trip we are going to tell you everything you need to know about the Aruba cruise port . Stay tuned to find out what we thought and how you can prepare for your day in Aruba.

The arrivals and departures are very easy at the Oranjestad Aruba cruise port. There are 4 spots for ships, you will be docked at berth B, C, F or G all of which are close together. It is not a far walk to the terminal building or out of the port, it only takes about 5 minutes which is awesome. Being that it is not a large dock there were not any trams. If you are interested in an Aruba tour there are companies right at the port offering Aruba cruise excursions. Just remember to leave lots of time to get back to the port as the cruise ship will not wait. You can always book an excursion with the cruise line and they will wait.

The Aruba cruise port is really a jumping off point to start your Aruba trip. There aren't any restaurants or bars at the cruise port, I think that is because you are just a just a short walk from the restaurants, shops and bars downtown. Most people will be going there instead of staying at the port. So when planning your Aruba trip you will want to think about exploring outside of the port.

In our Aruba cruise port guide we also talk about what is near the port so you have some ideas. If you are interested in exploring the island on your own the public buses are affordable and stop at many beaches, taxes are also a great way to explore the island. If you are interested in shopping the town of Oranjestad is right outside the port. Some of the other common places to visit in the downtown area are the Archaeological Museum of Aruba, the Fort Zoutman Historical Museum, and the Renaissance Mall and Marketplace. As we said you can book your Aruba cruise excursions with the cruise line, explore on your own or book at the port. The top 5 beaches in aruba are Eagle Beach, Baby beach, Palm Beach, Arashi and Druif Beach. I'm usually all for walking but it seemed like a bit too much of a walk in the heat of the day so I would recommend taking a taxi or the bus instead. So when thinking about Aruba things to do, you have lots of options from a chill beach day, shopping or a more extreme excursion.

Aruba - Shopping

Colorful malls and main streets beckon to shoppers who stroll unhurried through stores spiced in the floral scents of perfumes, glittering with rows of display cases of gold jewelry, watches and sparkling jems, decked out in the latest designer fashions and inspiring temptation with intriguingly designed gadgets and sophisticated electronics. The stores of Aruba are stocked with imported merchandise and luxury items at excellent prices. Many stores also feature local hand-made crafts. Most stores and boutiques are located in Oranjestad, but excellent shops can also be found at the larger hotels and at the airport. Aloe is abundant in Aruba and skin care products are manufactured right on the island.

Stores on the main streets are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, although some are closed for lunch between noon and 2 p.m. Shops in the malls and shopping centers are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some stores are open on Sundays and holidays when cruise ships are in port.

Aruba CRUISE PORT + SOUVENIRS SHOPPING Walk (with Commentary)

In this video I take you for a midday walk in Oranjestad while there is a cruise ship in port. Some of you have requested that I do an occasional commentary video so in this weeks video I decided to try it out while talking about the supposedly busy and overcrowded streets when cruises are in port. What do you think? I think not, it's still very empty.

Is ARUBA expensive? Let's find out

Hi everyone! This is episode four of my Dutch Caribbean series in which I travel to Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire. In this video, I look at how much things cost in Oranjestad, the capital, to ascertain whether it is expensive or not.

Aruba does have a reputation for being an expensive destination, so I went to some shops, supermarkets and restaurants to see if that is actually true. The Aruban Florin is the local currency but US Dollar is also widely accepted.

First, I visit two supermarkets in a residential neighbourhood, before going to the Down Town area where I visit another supermarket. I then comment on prices in the touristy area where they sell souvenirs and food, with prices quoted in US Dollar rather than the Florin.

I then go to a large wholesale-style shop where many of the locals shop, to see how prices compare if you go for more bulk purchases or buying larger products. I also comment on the price of soft drinks that I bought at a mini market at the airport.

Finally, I visit a shop that sells pastechis, which are local treats on the island.

I hope you enjoy this vlog and, if you haven't done so already, please give this video a like and subscribe to my channel. It really helps this channel to grow and allows me to make more content such as this for you, for free!

Please note that I have not been sponsored by anyone or any company in the production of this video.

Happy exploring!

Aruba | Noord | Palm Beach Plaza Mall - mall walk around and sightseeing

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I want to share with you my experience of visiting the Palm Beach Plaza Mall in Noord, Aruba. This mall is one of the largest and most modern shopping centers in the island, and it has a lot of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options for everyone.

I went there on a sunny afternoon and I was amazed by how spacious and clean the mall was. The architecture was very elegant and stylish, and the lighting was bright and cheerful. I decided to do a mall walk around and see what I could find.

The first thing that caught my eye was the huge fountain in the center of the mall. It was a beautiful sight, with water jets dancing and changing colors. I stopped to take some pictures and enjoy the soothing sound of the water.

Then I headed to the second floor, where I found a lot of clothing and accessories stores. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the products, and I couldn't resist buying a few items for myself. I also checked out some of the local brands, which had some unique and colorful designs.

After shopping for a while, I felt hungry and decided to grab a bite at one of the many restaurants in the mall. I chose a place that served Aruban cuisine, and I ordered a dish called keshi yena, which is a baked cheese stuffed with meat, raisins, olives, and spices. It was delicious and filling, and I loved the combination of flavors.

I ended my mall walk around with a visit to the cinema, where I watched a movie that I had been wanting to see for a long time. The theater was comfortable and cozy, and the sound and picture quality were excellent. I had a great time watching the movie and relaxing.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Palm Beach Plaza Mall in Noord, Aruba. It was a fun and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for some shopping, dining, or entertainment in Aruba. Thanks for reading my blog post, and stay tuned for more!
