Manila Travel Guide: Manila Cathedral Intramuros Philippines

Manila Travel Guide: Manila Cathedral Intramuros Philippines

The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the immaculate Conception or Manila Cathedral is located inside Intramuros Manila. The Manila Cathedral serves as the episcopal see of the archbishop of Manila. It is also considered as the mother church of the Philippines along side with the Basilica of the Santo Nino in Cebu.

The Manila Cathedral was originally called the Church of Manila. It was first established on 1571 as a parish church under the archdioceses of Mexico. Until Pope Gregory xiii made it into its own archdioceses in 1579. It was established by Fray Juan de Vivero. De Vivero was sent by the Archdioceses of Mexico to establish Christianity in the newly colonized Philippines.

Metro Manila Philippines in 2018 - SURPRISINGLY THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

Travelling along many Asian Cities. Manila has continually transformed itself and always surprises me every time I comeback.
There is a construction boom at the moment and skyscrapers several skyline have taken shape. The nightlife is also becoming more and more vibrant. Enjoy (The media seem to always show the negative side. This is the side of Metro Manila they do not show.

Guimaras Travel Guide | Philippines 2018 | Let's Explore by TravelGretl featuring BangsBucketList

I visited Guimaras early 2018 - a beautiful unexplored little hidden gem! In this video I'll show you the tour over land, and of course the island hopping. All information on what to do and where to stay in Guimaras is down below!!

#guimaras #philippines #philippines2018 #philippinestravel

-- FEATURING --

Featuring Bang from BangsBucketList.
All the good drone shots (not kidding!) and all the shots where you see me walking, are from her. She's amazing!

This is her Guimaras video:

--WHAT TO SEE IN GUIMARAS--

We did two tours. The tour over land and the island hopping tour.

► Land tour
We saw only half the tour. Normally it features:
- Windmill park
- Holy Family hills
- Ruins of the lighthouse, and you could visit the beach close by
- Mango farm
- Monastery with Trappist beer!

I would suggest you take a taxi instead of a tricycle. I mean: the driver was really very nice! But the distances are very long and you’ll definitely get a sore butt ;)
Wake up early morning, cause you’ll need lots of time to see all!

► Island hopping
We arranged this with a captain in front of our hotel, just on the beach.
We saw:
- the sandbar with the island next to it
- a cave in the water (some boats go in, bigger don’t)
- an other beautiful beach with very shallow water
- A platform / houseboat from where you could jump into the water from a nice hight (not featured)

--WHERE TO SLEEP IN GUIMARAS--

There are a lot of options actually, but we found a hotel that just opened. A really cool place with good rooms next to the beach! It’s next to the popular Raymen beach resort, but less big and the building is very cool!

► Florida Coral Beach Resort:

--WHERE TO EAT IN GUIMARAS--

We ate at:

► Raymen beach resort
► Definitely try the Mango Pizza from the pitstop!!!

STRANDED IN MANILA AIRPORT ???? | Philippines Travel Vlog 111, 2018 | Flight to Taipei Taiwan

Lucky Manila Airport has the Sky Lounge in departure! Our flight from Manila to Taipei Taiwan was delayed a loooooong time ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇

Maybe it was a sign not to leave the Philippines or Manila, which we're actually really sad about. The Philippine is genuinely one of our favourite places in the world and we will be back in 2018 to travel more and vlog!

Today we travel to Taipei. Normally from Manila or the Philippines to Taiwan is a painless 2 hour flight, thats assuming no delays at the airport... but we seemed to hit hurdles all the way along haha. Like the rest of our travel experiences and a few in Boracay and Palawan, just gotta make the most of what you have and smile through it!

WE COULD LIVE HERE! ???????? BGC MANILA | Philippines Vlog 108, 2018 | Bonifacio Global City

Bonifacio Global City in Manila is awesome, The Philippines delivers again ???????????????? BGC is a must visit, we walk the high street and check out some street art in 2018 ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇

Bonifacio Global City is in Taguig, Manila and is commonly known as BGC - it's a financial district of the Philippines and has a really cool high street. In fact all the areas around BGC are cool haha!

We explored for hours and honestly wish we could spend more time in Manila and maybe even live in Bonifacio Global City in the future. If you're visiting the Philippines, or just passing through Manila, be sure to stop off and have an afternoon walking around BGC.

We didnt really get to see much more of Taguig, but with the street art and the vibes we got from BGC alone we were impressed.

COMPLETE PHILIPPINES TRAVEL GUIDE Part-1

The Philippines is a relatively easy travel destination by Southeast Asian. The Philippines is a Southeast Asian country in the Western Pacific, comprising more than 7,000 islands. Its capital, Manila, is famous for its waterfront promenade and centuries-old Chinatown, Binondo. Intramuros, a walled city in colonial times, is the heart of Old Manila. It’s home to the baroque 17th-century San Agustin Church as well as Fort Santiago, a storied citadel and military prison.

BOMBS, CHURCHES & CEMETERIES - INTRAMUROS OLD MANILA WALKS TOUR | Philippines Vlog 110, 2018

Intramuros was epic! The Philippines is full of history, thanks to 'Old Manila Walks' for showing us around. We did the Intramuros walking tour of the wall, museum, a church and loads of history in Manila ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇

We highly recommend a walking tour of Intramuros or the Chinese Cemetery with Old Manila Walks, Ivan was great! But he also offers lots of other Manila walks you should look at, check them out here:

Being complete newbies to the Philippines history of the wall and more, we went open minded into this day in Manila as complete a tourist - we left with so much insight into Intramuros aka The Walled City and loved it.
