Our Gear:
We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

MOROCCO TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | The Grand Moroccan Roadtrip

► ITINERARY + GPS TRACKS -
► SUPPORT - 'Buy us a refill of diesel' -

Follow us on our Grand Moroccan Roadtrip!
From sweeping sand dunes to desolate highways of emptiness, bustling cities, and snow-covered peaks, we explored Morocco from north to south and east to west. Driving more than 10,000 km in eight weeks, our roadtrip included many unforgettable adventures. Watch as we explore remote landscapes, climb high peaks, battle breath-taking dust-topias (double pun, yeah!), and navigate the hectic bustle of Morocco’s major cities.

Thank you:
A big THANK YOU goes to Saloua Dabhi who helped tremendously with pronouncing Moroccan names. Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Morocco Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting videos. What you don’t see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the unpleasant challenges we faced.

Did we like everything about Morocco?
Far from it. As mentioned in the video, the huge amount of trash definitely dampened our experience. Additionally, we were surprised by the sheer number of begging children. During our trip, we counted a minimum of 500 children asking us for money or sweets. While Morocco undoubtedly has to combat poverty, this behavior often seemed less dictated by need and more by opportunity. Stopping and giving is an individual choice, of course, but when we didn’t we were regularly flipped off, kicked after, or hurled insults at.
In general, though, we perceived most Moroccans as extremely friendly and helpful. The best example is the three local men who selflessly helped us to change our ruptured tire. We cannot thank them enough.

Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we did enjoy a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Oualidia and a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Marrakech.

MOROCCO is INTENSE. (I was NOT READY for THIS) ????????

Morocco is A LOT... I wasn't expecting it. In just 5 short days in Marrakesh, I ate amazing food, rode a camel, soared through town on a motorbike, hiked a mountain and so much more.

Morocco is a beautiful country in Northern Africa, and Marrakesh is one of its most vibrant and tourist-friendly cities. I especially loved eating Tagine and Couscous, but not matter what you choose to partake in, the spices and seasonings will ensure that it will be one of your new favorite meals.

If you visit, you'll have the chance to visit the Agafay Desert and Hike the Atlas Mountains, not to mention gorgeous tourist sites like the Jardin Marjorelle or the Bahia Palace. I didn't love them as much as some people, but they're one of the highest rated tourist experiences in town, so be sure to give them a try if you go.

My hope with this video is that you can decide if visiting Morocco, and specifically the Red City of Marrakesh, is right for you. The city is a feast for the senses, and not everyone will want to travel to a country that is so bustling, but if you do travel to Marrakesh, Morroco.. I have a feeling that you'll love it.

Have you been to Marrakesh or Morroco? Planning to visit? Do you live there and have all the suggestions and recommendations for tourists? Let me hear everything down in the comments, and be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and click the BELL so you never miss a chance to GET LOST with me!
